I enjoy this show a lot.

Love the 80s references and most of the characters.

Love Steve and Hopper and Dustin the best. And Winona Ryder? It's great to see her back in acting and in something big.

Does anyone know when the third season will come out? Will it be another year?

Eleven Minus Three

Yes, Stranger Things will be returning to Netflix for a third season but its episode count is sadly dwindling. Apparently, they've taken a page from Game of Thrones' book. The '80s mega-hit series will only feature 8 episodes and production is expected to start in April 2018.

Something else we know about Season 3? The storyline will jump a year ahead in time, most likely to 1985, and all your favs are set to return to their beloved roles.

There were only 8 episodes in season 1 and 9 episodes in season 2 of Stranger Things. 8 episodes for season 3 sounds about right.

I think eight episodes for a series of this type is fine. I prefer quality over quantity.

I actually wish Season 2 was 8 episodes. They really could have done without that episode where Eleven goes off with those other kids/people. It's the only episode I personally found a bore.

But still, can't wait to see Season 3.

I actually only expected 8 episodes. So I am not sure why they feel this is news or such a major episode drop count. It's one less than S2 and the exact same amount for S1.

I must have been bored with this one too because I totally do not remember that episode.

I mean, it was the weaker of the episodes and it's a huge shame because Eleven is a great character and her arc took her away from the action in Hawkins.
