Riverdale - Episode 2.20 - Shadow of a Doubt

Finally, on the eve of the mayoral debate, a mysterious message leaves everyone on edge. Camila Mendes, Madchen Amick, Skeet Ulrich and Casey Cott also star. I can’t imagine that they’d go too dark when it comes to Archie considering he’s he’s the titular character in the comics but hey, they have deviated quite a bit from the comics in some areas so it’s plausible, I suppose.

I think it's just a poor choice of article title. I am sure fans of the show could tell when they became official by what was going on between them during the episodes.

They just kissed. doesnt mean they were official? There was no conversation from what ive seen.
