Until Emma Swan came to town and changed everything. With the help of her son, Henry, Emma embraced her true identity as the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming—the Savior destined to break the Curse. But even after returning everyone’s memories, Emma’s mission was far from over. With the Curse broken, Mr. Gold (aka Rumplestiltskin) was free to bring magic to Storybrooke. And magic ALWAYS comes with a price…

After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined.

He should. His profession before he became a pirate was he was in the Navy as a Lieutenant, so that has to be handy

My cursed persona for Killian was always something in the professional sector in the sense Law since he was in the Navy or since he loves the sea/ocean, a harbour master is something he would like as well

I thought the point of these curses was for them to be miserable. He should have a job he'd hate.

Although, it looks like Gold outranks him so, I'm sure he'll hate that.

Yeah I know, so when he "wakes up" (assuming he's NOT a clone, which I'm not ready to give up) he's really going to hate that!

Not really from what I can tell from season 1 curses identities jobs/occupation (sure Regina made the curse so everyone did not have their happy ending)

Snow White was a bandit/princess became a teacher
Charming after waking up from the coma worked in I believe a Vet/Animal shelter - who once use to own and do farming in the EF.
Regina was the Evil Queen in the EF, she became the Mayor of Storybrooke
Rumple who use to make deals and take things in that scenario became a Pawn Shop holder
Archie became a psychotherapist, and Jiminy Cricket's character is about conscience, giving advice and morals kinda thing
Ruby and Granny having a Grannys café... made sense overall

It all somewhat fitted what they kinda use to do in EF in the real world. But this new curse also depends on what its about I guess and how much damage it wants to create I assume.

I think Hook will be more preoccupied with other more important matters then Gold when he wakes up. Like where is his wife and how he needs to get back to her.

I really hope Hook can wake up from the curse early on in the season. Hopefully with the assist from Lucy and her storybook.

For me, at least, the point of the curses is to separate people from those they love. At least that was rhe message in "Awake" an d then curse seems to be doing a a bang up job. Aside from Henry and his nuclear family, everyone else seems to be separated by space from their loved ones. Mary Margaret loved being a teacher, but she realized something underlying was making her unhappy.

I'm not sure I want him to "wake up" early on. That happened with Graham and Regina killed him for it. Don't want this baddie to get any ideas. Since they are liking their parallels so much.

And I doubt he'll go looking for what happened to Emma right away if he does wake up early since Henry will be preoccupied with his own story and "the 3" are there to service that (their own stories be damned).

I wonder if they will make him a bumbling officer type of character for comic relief.

These new spoilers are making me excited about the new season, now.

Not surprised about Hook's wedding ring, he wouldn't have if on when he can't remember his wife in the first place. I love his cursed name!

If they were going to go with him having had a wife (Emma with a different name) who is in a coma (a la Charming) or dead it would have made sense. Apparently they won't be keeping that connection.

Disappointing but not surprising. As many things are with OUAT and I'm sure many more will be in season 7.

I don't think he will wake up right away. Nothing is that simple on this show.
I disagree that all the stories will be serving Henry's story. Even when the story was mostly about Emma and her family, other characters had a purpose and story of their own. Especially in seasons 1&2 where Red, Granny and Archie had backstories of their own. I'm wondering if this curse is a little bit like Heroes and Villains where Isaac made Gold into a hero at his request? Maybe someone felt they owed Rumple and put him in a position where he is Hook's superior? I don't think Gold is awake, but I think it's interesting that he is in close contact with his granddaughter in law as well as his sometime enemy.
