Agreed, but it felt like TVD had more of a fanfare, whereas this just flatlined after the time skip.

Love Mona singing. I think I enjoyed the characters more and liked the idea of what the mystery could be which is why I stuck with this show unlike TVd plus I le joyed the books

I don't know much about PLL fandom, but with TVD it was very much just people either wanting to know how their ships ended and the rest just wanting to know how the shiitshow ended.

Pretty much and they had Elena's return to look forward to.

Here, it's much more obvious how everything is going to turn out, so it's a lot more boring and it doesn't help that the storylines are very dull.

That sucks. You would hope that after spending so many years with the same characters you would be sad to see their story ending, but I've seen a lot of people just feeling relieved it's finally coming to a close.

Yeah, it does, it pretty much jumped the shark with the timeskip/ChArlotte reveal and the new AD isn't interesting enough to fill in any void.

Mona is the only interesting character left that's not dragged down by boring subplots and has been making some actual progress in this show which has been going around in circles, especially with only 3 episodes left in the series.

Mona has got to be a red herring and she's probably just obsessed with the game because she can't crack it or whatever.

She is, probably the last one, they still have 2 more episodes left, so possibly a cliffhanger leading into the finale.

No, next episode, after the Liars get out of jail, they'll slam down Mona's door and she'll set their asses straight.

Then the opening of the series finale is said to reveal A's identity to the audience.

Probably the wisest decision since they'll spend an hour and 45 minutes on couple moments and old character appearances before the girls even encounter their big bad.
