Loved the global promo !

But I think all this "will there or won't there be another season" gibber gabber is sooo nasty !!! With that they are just ruining everything. Cause if we knew it'd be over we'd actually focus on the upcoming episodes knowing they'll be the last ones and we'd be able to enjoy it. Now we're completely distracted from that and we'll keep on hoping and I hate that.
What I also hate is that the L/L reunion is taking so freakkin' long.

And what exactly are LL doing in the finale? I'm going with a proposal and Lorelai originally was set to propose, but they changed it to have Luke finally have his moment.

Is anyone else just starting to become numb to all the flip-flop going on with the season 8 stuff?

I have to agree with some people who are saying that they don't like Lorelai in the promo. She just seems to calm, too insincere, too unemotional, but whatever, I'll take it over nothing. I think seeing what leads her to saying that, and how Luke responds past "I'm sorry too" (if he does go past that) will be really important in how the scene comes off and whether we leave it feeling any better about LL getting back together within the following 4 eps.

Why? Isn't this the same person we doubted a few week or so ago about LG changing the script? That one came through, all the way to MA confirming it.

But didn't the person who said LG changed the script had done it because she had to work with SP and was refusing to or something? That wasn't the case at all. The story was a bit exaggerated.

Yes that was the same person Katie and if I remember correctly the poster never said it was because of SP that LG asked for a script change. Whether or not to believe this is entirely up to people themselves.

ETA: And it fits with the fact that DR has known for weeks according to other sources. This was what was said:

One week someone says it's looking bad and Ausiello and Co jump on that train saying the same. Give them a couple of days till their next thing airs and somewhere in between someone says it's looking good and guess what happens next

I've only seen the copy of the global promo that has the bad audio so it's had to tell, I'll wait for it next week to make judgement.

Maybe in ep 7.19 Lorelai comes "down" to the diner for breakfast and the awkward stuff is how they act with others around?

I have to wonder if this will give Alexis a reputation in Hollywood? Who knows maybe if she continues acting she already has something lined up?

At this point it is Lauren who is is a great position, she has a sure fire hit out in a few months and other work lined up behind the camera with her production company.

Scott has his new movie and it looks like Melissa has something for next season. I'm sure the others will find work also.

It just pisses me off that the fate of the show rests in the hands of someone who at least on the surface doesn't look like she cares about it any more or even acting which regardless of her movies has bought her fame.

Okay rant over.

So maybe L&L can make out in the SUV if Lorelai takes Luke for a ride in her new car

I do wonder though did they end up fixing the Jeep and does Lorelai still own it and will we see Lorelai drive it around with the top down before the season is out?

Her "sorry" sounds like she's apologizing for having left the front door unlocked or something equally stupid - but I don't expect much from these writers so I'm not surprised it will be a lame apology about the fact that their entire romance/future was trashed and this is the best apology they can come up with....nothing surprised me any longer.

I think she probably finally does break the ice and bring up the nastiness surrounding the break up because even though they are now ostensibly friends and being cordial to one another, the friendship could never progress unless the elephant in the room is dealt with - so, I think she recognizes that and decides to get it out in the open so they can move past it.

I am still so excited we are at the end of hiatus and next week we get L/L stuff and what looks like a Luke rant at Taylor. Shouldn't we be focusing on that???

I know the promo seems bare but would they reveal the main body of that particular scene in a promo?? Somehow I doubt it. Who's to say that it doesn't go further? Honestly, judging the effectiveness of a scene on a 5 second sneakpeek which seems pretty spliced together is crazy - don't torture yourselves just yet!
