So... if Neal ends up wherever Aurora is, would they still be able to communicate with Henry/MM/Charming via the disco inferno to let them know Neal's alive?

True. I think once he sees Belle is back she'll give him the strength to go on. I'm just not sure what was meant by the spoiler that they have a beautiful moment but it doesn't last. That scares me, lol.
It could just mean the moment gets interrupted by the trigger of the failsafe causing an earthquake.

Maybe. But with everything that's going on when would any of them have time to sleep?

Yeah, it's kind of weird.

It probably doesn't last because of news of Henry's kidnapping.

Not until after they get where they're going.

Despair is a very powerful thing. And what they are saying to him probably hasn't even registered with him yet. Plus Sneak Peaks are always misleading. He could agree to help them escape, have them bring Lacey , who he gven up on as far as geting her to fall in love with him and break the curse. ANd jsut plan to stay in town to die.

Obviously somethign will change

Well Mulan was there too, but they might be in the netherworld that souls went to between death.

I don't think they will try to look for Neal though. Everyone, even Rumple, has accepted that he died. I think the focus next season will be on the rest of the main characters in Neverland and then Neal will save himself and show up shocking everyone...probably after Emma and Hook have started developing feelings for each other.

Maybe it 's because she gets her memories back and they have their reunion, but then immediately after have to deal with the town falling apart and Henry being kidnapped. That's what seems to be happening.

That's why I think they won't have time to address the whole Lacey issue in the finale. They won't have time, but I'm guessing it will be brought up and probably be a source of conflict for them next season. I think Belle is going to feel insecure that Gold seemed to enjoy having Lacey (her complete opposite) around.

Has he been enjoying Lacey though? I really haven't seen that where he's all happy about being with her.

Wow. Just wow. I think this must be first time I wish I didn't get a sneak peek this spoilery, that's how painful and shocking it is to me to see Gold feeling so broken he's lost the will to live. I hope he can find new strength by being the parental figure to Henry that he didn't get to be with Neal.

I agree, and I think this plays into his losing the will to live. Lacey, to him, is a poor man's substitute to Belle.

I think a part of Gold has enjoyed having Lacey around. At least for me, I see what the producers were talking about when they said Gold would be tempted by Lacey and prefer her on some level. He loves Belle but Lacey represents the power he would have to give up to have his happiness with Belle and Bae. We've seen him struggle with it all season clearly it's not easy for him.

I think it's something they'll have to deal with next season once they arrive in Neverland. Belle is going to have to deal with having suffered because of her connection to Rumple and the fact that there were aspects of Lacey that he enjoyed. I think it might be good for them in the long run. Magic is such a big part of Rumple's life and Belle still hadn't quite accepted that before she lost her memories. Maybe this whole experience will make her realize that she can help him do better with his magic but she has to accept it if she wants to have an honest relationship with him.

I just don't even see what they're talking about that he would prefer Lacey to Belle. First of all, that negates Rumbelle and their true love. And secondly, I haven't seen even a hint of that on screen. It's only been a few days, if that, that Lacey has been around. So I just don't see any great passion from him for her or much feeling at all so I don't know where they're getting that he is even tempted that much by her. The problem is they sometimes say things that obviously only a small amount of the audience hear, who listen to their podcasts, and the stuff never shows up on screen. Because as of yet, I have not seen one thing that shows me he has some kind of passion for Lacey.

Maybe there is something in deleted scenes. But I think if he is tempted it's only been briefly, but again, we haven't seen much of that.
And Belle has accepted him. She just doesn't want him killing anyone. But she accepted his magic. She was encouraging him to look for Bae and seemed fascinated by the magic he was using and had no objection to him using magic to help Charming and Snow catch Archie's killer. It's just the violence she objected to.

^This. She also objected to him lying about it. It's not the magic that's the problem, it's his attitude about it.

Well Belle wouldn't have been okay with Gold using Schmee as a guinea pig in his experiments or punishing him by turning him into a rat. That's why he kept that a secret from her. There are certain things Gold does to bully others or get revenge and Belle is a very forgiving person to the point where she didnt want him to punish Regina at all for what she did. So yeah, Belle was accepting of Gold's magic...at least what he was willing to tell her. Just before she lost her memory, I think Rumple was starting to realize that he could be honest with her, but up until then they didnt exactly have an honest relationship. Hopefully this whole experience will help Belle realize that maybe she shouldn't be so forgiving and be more open to letting Rumple use his magic when he wants to.

And I guess I just disagree with those of you who think Gold is only putting on a show for Lacey. I think he is enjoying having her around and not having to be on his best behavior. But it is affecting him to the point where he snapped at his son and said some very cruel things when Lacey wasn't even around. I don't think Gold enjoying Lacey's company kills the Rumbelle relationship. I think she just represents those dark desires that he enjoys indulging and has had trouble giving up for the people he loves.

But I think Belle will have a problem with it later when she reflects on everything. I could see the whole situation maybe making her insecure and wondering what Rumple really wants. Plus I'm sure at some point someone will tell Belle about Cora, a woman Rumple loved because of her darkness and bloodlust. I think that might be a source of drama/conflict for Rumbelle next season.

Exactly! Belle doesn't want to change him at all. She accepts him and likes when he uses his magic for good like helping others. It's when he wants to either hurt or kill people when she opposes him and frankly she's right.

I respect your point of view. We all see things differently. I don't know if he's putting on a show. I think it was obvious it started out that way, but it's only been a few days and all we've seen is him leading her out of the bar and then talking to her in his shop. They haven't shown them kissing or whether they've had sex or anything like that. I don't like when the writers leave things open to interpretation or say things that don't show up on screen.

Yes, he did do things behind her back because he knew she wouldn't approve. To that extent, yeah, Lacey would be a temptation. I think he's been trying very hard to "be good." And it's worn on him. Belle was shot, lost her memory, wanted nothing to do with him, he found his son, who wanted nothing to do with him, he was almost killed, and now Belle has turned into a trashy stranger. So I cut him slack. But since it's only been going on a few days I don't think it's insurmountable for him and Belle because I haven't seen anything that says he on any level wants Belle to stay buried and wants to keep Lacey around for good. I think he is just temporarily being weak.

If there was something on screen that would match up with what Adam or Eddie have said and it was shown that he wanted to keep Lacey forever and loved her and not Belle then yeah, that would be pretty hard to overcome, imo, but I haven't seen that.
But I think Belle has accepted him and his magic. NO one would want the person they love hurting other people. I think he's like a little kid who is indulging in someone who spoils them and lets them have their way and do whatever they want, which is what Lacey is. But I don't think that's what he deep down wants or would want long term.

I don't know. I mean this was before Belle was even born. And she wasn't and isn't any kind of threat to her. So I don't know. You may be right. It may come up. But I can't imagine them even showing that he would love another woman over Belle. I guess if he has slept with Lacey, which we don't know yet, that would be a big issue and I wouldn't blame her for being upset about that, and yeah, I can see where she would feel like maybe he wanted Lacey, but it's gone on for such a short time and he is obviously wanting Belle back, as RC says, in the finale, that it's hard to believe that it would be all that big of an issue, but who knows? I'm sure they'll come up with some reason to keep them apart.
