The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver's crusade without him? Sorry, but you cannot kill off such a major comic Superhero, even on a TV show and do just fine after that. Arrow's ratings have been horrible since her death. MK and TPTB as a whole understand this which is why they're probably trying to do something that helps their mistake. For many comic fans, myself included, it was never about the GA and BC not ending up together. Quite frankly, I loathe the TV version of Oliver on Arrow. I can't stand him. So I am fine with Oliver and Felicity together. But TPTB still shouldn't have killed off the BC. Easily, they could have put her on The Flash, Legends or had her create her own team and go off fighting. It would have worked out just fine. But killing her off was not an option with the expectation that you won't suffer backlash and low ratings as a result. |

One of the biggest disappointments of the show for me is that they didn't take advantage of Birds of Prey like they could've. Those episodes could've easily been installments throughout the show like the suicide squad episodes, but the concept and the name was wasted back in S2. Now would've been the perfect time to do them too, last season and this season could've had so much more potential for storyline in regards to Laurel and BC but this show continues to waste time on senseless plots and characters that either dont stick or become repetitive. Which brings me to another issue I have with the show. I know that it's essentially about the green arrow and his journey but I feel like so many rich characters, or potentially rich characters, are sidelined for Oliver to be the main badass and that's what makes it suffer. This season has been good, but last season could been too if they tried.

"You will see in the episodes where she appears" - yes looks like she will be in more than one.
I still think it's Earth-2 Laurel. Quote:

You have David and even Katie herself stating the reaction shocked them. And it shouldn't be shocking. She's Black Canary! A character there since the pilot. The Laurel Lance fandom has always been a passionate bunch. And many only watched for her. The problem is they felt because we weren't trending or voting in random polls it meant something. But I do believe they are gonna try to have their cake and eat it to. They will have our Laurel stay dead, but put Black Siren through a redemption arc. And transform her into the new BC. Especially since she's suppose to appear on Flash and LOT. __________________

I feel extremely sorry for Laurel fans. I stopped enjoying the show Season 3 because everything and the characters I most enjoyed at the time Oliver, Felicity and Diggle just fell apart. The highlight of that season was Laurel!
I genuinely couldn't believe it because I wasn't a fan of hers but it was only through that God awful season that I began to appreciate her character and everything she had been through. I loved Laurel and Nysa. I honestly would have watched a Birds of Prey spin off then and there, and screw everyone else. Marc Guggenheim got caught up in the Olicity noise and centered the whole show on it that and Felicity, it was so bad that it even made fans such as myself who once enjoyed their dynamic - totally sick! Killing Laurel was the biggest mistake they could have made. Look at how many fans are willing to have her back even as a version from a different Earth. They underestimated her character and impact on the audience. I will be watching her scenes only. She's the only redeeming thing about the show. This is coming from someone who wasn't even her biggest fan. A comic show should be about great characters, their comic legacy and development. Laurel Lance is all those things. Too bad they didn't recognise it. Quote:

As much as I would love to see Black Siren on Arrow, I'm really hoping this is somehow E-1 Laurel. Her development as a character was just completely wasted in her death, and I just want her back so that HER story continues. How great would it be though if we had two mainstay Laurel Lances. One on arrow and then black siren on the flash.
