501/502 had no opening credits, and had 50+ scenes before any were cut. 503 will probably have credits (which I'm very interested to see), and based on the spoilers it looks like the episode has around 45 scenes. So we know just over half, right?

so 5x02 has actually 49 scenes since they cut the BHP scene interviewing nannys

45 scenes for 5x03?? it means we don't know about 20 scenes

I think it would be interesting if they continued to go without a long credits sequence. If they figure they're going for a more mature type of show, I could see them doing that. Plus, it would give them more time within the episode and they could cut less scenes. That could be better.

But then we wouldn't get to hear Mark's commentary in which he yaps about it being a "black card" episode. It would be a tragic loss for the OTH community.

If they decide to have an opening credits sequence, they will probably still use Gavin's song...but I could see Mark just keeping the black title card.

Mark would probably pull a RT and use a remix of Gavin's song, just to show the ~difference~ between S5 and the other seasons. Heh.

I really think they have to revamp the whole thing for it to make any sense, even if they use the same theme song. The loner on a bridge motif is iconic for OTH, but it wasn't completely relevant much past Season 1; it feels utterly irrelevant to the plot of the show now.

I know this year they have decided not to have opening credits and are just going to be doing the ONE TREE HILL in black and white and then having the actors credits go during the first scene. No more gavin intro will be used. I am sure there are some people who are not going to be too happy with that.

I'm glad they did that. I really liked the new opening- short and simple.
