The only halfway somewhat rational thing is if Brooke had asked Lucas a while back before he was engaged. I hope that's what is missing in all of this...the timing of her proposition is what we are missing.

I don't think Lindsey is necessarily possessive of Lucas. I think this is more about Lindsey knowing LP's history, her having read the book and knowing Peyton is not happy about her relationship with Lucas. So I would say it is more of a case of her being very worried where Peyton is concerned.

I do think it would be odd for her to agree yes, but I don't think it is out of the question.

Maybe Brooke knowing what a great dad Lucas would make has played a part in her decision, in fact I think it probably has. And I am sure after seeing Lucas with Jamie that she has become even more certain that she wants him as the father to her child.

I think the child would have quite a good future actually. I think Brooke would make an awesome mom and I think Lucas has shown how great he is with Jamie and would make an excellent dad. I am sure the child would receive all the love it could possibly want.

I meant it as if she was 1000% sure that Peyton was no longer in love with Lucas. Peyton is, or should be, sure at this point that Brooke isn't in love with Lucas. Out of all of hte main 5, I think Brooke might have done the most growing up over the past 4 years. So, there's no telling what could happen if situations were reversed. I just personally think she is the type of friend who would be willing to do anything to see her best friend happy.

Point is. she's not thinking of the consequences AT ALL. She's only thinking of what that child can bring her. BC If she was really thinking of that child and even her friendship with Lucas, she'd never do this.

I would never ask this of my exs and some I talk to everyday. It's just too complicated and even the single ones I would never do that to any future wife they might have, especially when I have plenty of child bearing years left.

I actually think she is thinking of the child, hence her decision to ask Lucas. She would show the child so much love and dote on it. She is stable financially which is important. And she knows how great Lucas is with kids and thinks he would be an amazing father. And isn't what most kids want parents who love them, and I think the child would have that with BL. She is not having a child on her own, she clearly wants her child to have both parents there for it, she want to have it with someone she knows, trusts and cares for an awful lot.

Brooke seems very sure and it does not come up until 512 but yet Brooke says this is the reason she came back. It's hardly an idea that just popped into her head one day. I believe she has thought this through, maybe not everything and all the implications but I do think she has thought about it for some while.

But the child wont see their father every day though. Like Lucas wont be able to tuck his kid in every day because he's busy doing that with who ever he's married with. I don't know I don't think Brooke is thinking rationally thats what we are thinking.

But doesn't that imply that Brooke wants Lucas to be a real father to her child meaning that she would expect him to be around on a daily basis? Yet, she wants LP to marry, so doesn't that mean that she would want them to all be living near each other? That doesn't add up, if she just wants a child to be a good mother bc her mom wasn't.

Lindsey agreeing to the baby is even more bizarre than Brooke's timing if it happens like shortly before the wedding (which we don't know of yet)

Well don't forget Brooke had bought this big house in TH. Maybe she has thought this through more than people think. And doesn't buying an house there indicate that maybe she is planning on sticking around

i don't know, it's just an idea.

I agree, the timing is extremely weird. I am finding that the hardest thing to understand at the moment.

I don't understand how Brooke is like "marry him Peyton but I want to have his baby." That's a lot to say in the middle of a wedding ceremony.

Thats why she's annoying me because it really seems like she does not trust Lucas at all yet she is being rude to Peyton and then decides lets get married only to stop the wedding lol

The thing is I think Brooke is the kind of person who even if she did still have feelings for Lucas, she won't show them, she would try and bury them. And that might be what she is doing, for the sake of her friendship and after all the BLP drama I can't blame her. So I know she is all pro LP but what people say and what people feel can be two very different things.

I kind of remember that we got a spoiler in the beginning of the season saying that Brooke wanted to start a family and that's why she bought the big house didn't we?
