As someone mentioned before Lucas flat out told Brooke in Season one when he thought she was preggers that he always expected and saw being inlove when he had a child. Lucas wants that. He wants to be there fulltime. You can't do that and share custody. Not how it works.

Even if he sees his kid everyday, which he won't, not when he gets back with Peyton(or whoever) and wants his own family, he's still not there for everything. Not getting to tuck his child in everynight, get them ready for school and Brooke will surely take that kid to NY sometimes.

How can Brooke ask that of Peyton too? Peyton you get to marry him, so can I have his first child?

Honestly if anyone every deserved a slap on this show it should have Brooke right there in that moment with Peyton. Just because I would hope it would knock some sense into her.

I just really really want to ask any BL fan here. Would you support this storyline if it was reversed? Would you support Peyton and praise her for wanting a child with Lucas when he's inlove with Brooke?

I think we all should not look at who's paired with who and just take this storyline for what is, utter contrived crap. It's one of the most ridiculous things this show has ever done and that's saying alot.

This is what I find to be strange. Either Brooke has taken a lot of time, considered this, and thought it through and really truly just wants this for herself and her life (like she says in the side) or she's kind of jumping the gun and asking this of him without thinking it through (which would completely make more sense). I don't understand how she could have thought this through, it being such a flimsy idea and everything. Yet in the side, she comes off as if she has. That's odd. It doesn't add up. And, to me, it makes Brooke look very...weird.

I completely agree with everything you said.

Brooke is asking TONS out of both Lucas and Peyton. Peyton for her boyfriend/husband or whatever and Lucas for a child. I really don't like this storyline it's just a way of appeasing both fanbases.

Peyton gets Lucas.
Brooke gets their baby.

the bl baby thing is clearly bones being thrown..thats why the sl is not revealed until 512 so bl fans will want to stay tune for the rest of the season

I feel like she really is planning to stay in TH, the house, the boutique etc. And she bought such a large house right? So I just get the feeling that although she has her home in NY that she might not be there much if at all in the long term. Maybe her mom will run the company

Who knows.

I was wondering when someone would say it was just a bone. And maybe it is. I personally hope not, and if it is then I think Mark went too far.

I am still not sure if LP will last even if they reunite, they have the Greg thing lurking in the shadows. And I can see a Friends kind of thing happening regarding BL. Lucas missing out on all the baby stuff and wanting to be closer to Brooke, and I think Lucas could even end up moving in with Brooke. Can you imagine it though BLP all under one roof. Talk about drama

Then again this is all if Lucas agrees.

But the thing is, that isn't a role reversal because Peyton isn't currently involved with Lucas. Maybe she's being selfish, maybe she isn't... but by being up front about it all, isn't she just being honest like Peyton was when she told Brooke at the end of S3 that she was in love with Brooke's boyfriend?

But in the end, you have to wonder about the timing of that flashback. If Lucas didn't flat out say no, then why would it be an issue... something to think about in the middle of his wedding? I just don't think that Brooke is being selfish for going after what she wants when other characters have done so and were praised for it.

She still loved Lucas and LP were not together, infact Peyton had not shown any sign of telling Lucas how she felt in Brooke's eyes. What did you expect her to do!

But anyway. Hopefully we will get some more info regarding this baby thing as I think we all want to know what on earth is going on.

As an avid reader of the LP thread and this thread, I don't think many LP fans feel like she has any right to stand up and say those things? But she doesn't anyways. She imagines the scene and from what it sounds like, it's supposed to even be a funny scene. No, Peyton doesn't have any right to tell Lucas that, and I am pretty sure most fans would agree; that's why we are happy that it is just a dream.

Who's praising who? All I've seen the past few days is people criticizing 99% of the characters and plots.

For me, everything hinges on when Brooke asks Lucas. If she asks him way back like when he wasn't engaged, then okay, that's more rational. If it is like right before the wedding, then, it's just tacky.
