I wouldn't say it's their source of happiness. As someone who was one I was just happy I got a shiny crown to stare at and wear at the after parties.

I didn't really care one way or the other, but it was a nice honor and memory.

However, my memories in the crown at the after parties were alot more fun!!!!

ETA: I so want a LH dance at the prom and I'm looking forward to the Seniors focusing on anything but the past.

Or is it just OTH's Prom-King-and-Queen announcements that you feel are totally pointless? I mean, OTH probably won't make it exciting.

Lucas should win prom queen. He does tend to wear alot of makeup these days.

I guess I was making a general statement from my observations from my life and in tv shows..including Made where I've heard "I wanna be made into Prom Queen" way too many times.

I'm definitely assuming that Brooke will be prom queen. She has always been the "all around social butterfly" as Whitey stated in 3x15. heehee. I think the reaction to her may be disdainful over the NB sex tape, which will be sad in my opinion.

I find it odd that Brooke and Peyton show up all bloody to prom, but I am overjoyed that this psychoderrick incident may indeed strengthen their relationship. I love how there was so much BP in season 2 and I think we need to brng that back cause they balance each other out.

That's my main problem with LP. they have so much in common, but in the end I think they may end up dragging each other down. They are both so brooding, and I think brooke balances Lucas out more. But that's just my opinion - don't jump down my throat.

Could it be possible that 4x13 is Chase's last eppy at least until the end of the season? We know he finds out about Brooke cheating in that eppy and there's no news of him in the following episodes. Maybe he gets angry... and doesn't return for awhile.

I totally agree with that. It's been so long since the main five has been in the same space together...actually having like a real conversation. Yeah you could count Nathan and haley's wedding....but the last time it seemed like there was no hostility was at Rachel's cabin.

I saw 90210's prom episodes but I don't remember anything about king/queen. I can't say that I can recall any other show's proms.

I should remember queen/king on the 90210 prom..but I really don't So I don't think they showed it. That or I was to up on cloud number 9 from that Brenda/Dylan dance.

However In S1 Kelly was voted the "Spring Princess" at the Spring dance.

I honestly do not care who wins Queen&King because..really it is a nice tradition but it isn't like they just became President of the United States.

I was only like 8 or so when 90210 still had Brenda on, but I swear Dylan and Brenda won one year, probably junior year.. but yeah I was really young so who knows!

anyone think they are trying to make it seem like glenda saw dan murder keith since they keep showing her? when they had the spring dance on 90210 kelly won queen and some random guy won king. their senior year they didn't show it at all.

Glenda was in the gym with Brooke, she wasn't in the school. Mark's solely bringing her back because he likes to try and do "moral" issue type story lines every once in awhile. The semi-popular kid helping out the semi-not popular person.
