Leah Pipes, who officially bid The Originals adieu back in Season 3, will return for the CW drama’s upcoming series finale, airing sometime in 2018. Pipes broke the news herself in an Instagram story from the Vampire Diaries spinoff’s Georgia set.

Sebastian Roché (aka Papa Mikaelson) is also in the video, implying that we’re in for a full-on family reunion in 2018. (Sure, Klaus killed Mikael back in Season 3 — but since when has a little thing like death prevented someone from appearing on this show?)

TVLine has reached out for official confirmation on the actors’ returns.

This is actually the second time Cami has appeared on The Originals since her untimely death; she came to Klaus in a vision in the beginning of Season 4.

Of course, Cami isn’t Klaus’ only former lover appearing in Season 5. As TVLine exclusively reported back in July, The Vampire Diaries‘ Candice King will reprise the role of Caroline Forbes in several episodes of The Originals. She recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Joseph Morgan, giving eager fans an early look at the “Klaroline” reunion they’d been waiting for.

According to TV Line, Jaime Murray has joined the cast for Season 5 as Antoinette, an "old-school" vampire who meets Elijah (Daniel Gillies) shortly after he loses his memories. Her flirtatious, free-spirited nature masks dark secrets about her painful past.
Antoinette will be introduced in the third episode of The Originals final season, but there are no details on what the nature of her relationship with Elijah is as of yet.
The Originals: Here's More Evidence That Klaroline Is Endgame
Our best guess is that she may be the season's new villain — or at least in league with him/her. New characters on The Originals almost always turn out to have ulterior motives, after all. We're just supposed to believe this woman happened to find Elijah immediately after he lost his memories and his family, when he was at his most vulnerable and manipulatable? Yeah right. Side note: Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) paranoia might finally be rubbing off on us.

The other option is that Antoinette is a new love interest for Elijah, seeing as his tumultuous relationship with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) came to an abrupt end last year. Could Elijah have found a new soulmate during his years without his memory?

The Originals Mega Buzz: A Special Episode Will Break the Series' Mold

The Originals cast may be a powerhouse of talented actors, but for at least one episode this season, the ensemble will be put aside in order to put a sharp focus on one of the characters that has arguably the most complex storyline of the season: Elijah (Daniel Gillies).
"Three episodes in, we actually get an episode that is Elijah from start to finish, and it's the first time we've ever done that," creator and showrunner Julie Plec says. "We get to see where Elijah left off in that episode so long ago, and what he's been doing in the seven years that's passed."
Plec likened this episode, titled "Ne Me Quitte Pas," to one of Damon Lindelof's episodes on The Leftovers, which zeroed in on one character in particular to tell their story. If we're to take Plec at her word, it means we're likely to get Elijah in every scene of this bottle-like episode and very little of anyone else. Given that it takes place during the years the Original siblings have been separated by the Hollow, we may not see any of them at all.
It's also worth noting that this episode will be directed by series star Joseph Morgan, bringing his total directed episodes of the series up to three.

The Originals' Final Season Gets April Premiere Date

The fifth and final season of the Vampire Diaries spinoff will premiere Friday, April 20 at 9/8c, The CW announced Sunday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.

Picking up after another major time jump, the show’s final season will reintroduce Hope Mikaelson as a teenager attending the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. And although the Mikaelsons were given strict instructions to stay away from one another — you know, for fear of reconstructing the evil Hollow — the siblings are gradually reunited to defeat one last enemy.

The Originals‘ final season will also introduce several new faces into the mix, including Jaime Murray (Once Upon a Time) as Antoinette, one of Elijah’s new vampire “friends”; Torrance Coombs (Reign) as Declan, a flirty Irish chef who romances Hayley; Jedidiah Goodacre (Descendants) as Roman, a vampire who takes a curious interest in the Mikaelsons; and newcomer Aria Shahghasemi as Landon, a sensitive human who catches Hope’s eye.
Of course, there’s still a possibility that the Mikaelsons’ story could extend beyond The Originals; The CW is currently having “conversations” with Plec about a potential Hope-centric spinoff, though nothing is concrete just yet.
