So to continue the conversation, if they are going down the twin route, then I am SO confused about the very very end where a hand was pulling Ali out of the ground. Either way, someone is dead in Ali's backyard in that spot, they found a body. Are we really supposed to believe that someone pulled Ali out only to put her or Courtney back in that spot. Someone has to be dead in that hole, they can't just have it so Ali actually never died, they wouldn't have found her or a twin's body.

So the whole pulling Ali out of the ground thing really annoyed me, someone has to be dead there, and it will be stupid if she is pulled out only to be put back in the hole to die. What's the point?

I'm gonna copy/paste what I wrote somewhere else, because I'm too lazy to retype it all, but:

I have two theories. One is that Courtney!Alison tried to kill real!Alison and buried her in the yard. Real!Alison gets saved by someone, who mistakes her for being Courtney!Alison. Real!Alison plays it off like a prank or whatever, but THEN she goes and kills Courtney!Alison and buries her in the yard as a form of ~ironic revenge~. OR Courtney!Alison was still alive and real!Alison pulled her out to finish the job for good. I like the second theory better, because it's more twisted. OR the whole thing could be a total fakeout.

That last part makes no earthly sense, lol. Didn't Mona say when she first got placed in Radley and Red Coat first visited her that she'd done everything Red Coat asked?

Eh, it's Mona. She's unreliable. I think Red Coat helped her skip out of a criminal conviction by being sent to Radley and then once Mona was IN Radley, Red Coat saw the opportunity to seize the advantage by taking over the game. Mona isn't a moron, she knew that once she revealed herself to Spencer she wouldn't have many options left. But she couldn't predict she'd be sent to Radley unless the hand was tipped in her favor, which is obviously was.

But Mona's not going to SAY that though. She's going to tell the Liars a story that paints her in the most sympathetic light.

Just IMO though.

That's true- it's certainly possible she's fudging the truth about how much she knows about A. I'm going to LOL if she really thought that was an Ali mask, though (not as hard as I'll laugh if it IS an Ali mask- what, has Red Coat joined Ethan Hunt's Mission:Impossible team?).

I enjoyed the finale overall- I was braced for a Toby twist after Keegan pulled that stunt on Twitter. There was no way he'd be allowed to do that if he were actually leaving the show and he seems like a team player, so I figured it was a false direct.

I've been bracing for a Toby ~was good all along~ thing like that forever. They've been playing it up SO MUCH that he's ~omg so evil~ but then telling Spoby fans to have hope? Yeah, okay, that wasn't telegraphed to the moon and back. :rolleye: But I'm not even mad, because that was never going to play out satisfactorily for me anyway. Besides, Toby's WAY too basic to be an evil mastermind.

Well, she WAS doped up in Radley when Red Coat visited her AND she was near unconscious from smoke inhalation in 324. If she doesn't know the twin thing is real (if it IS real), then what other logical conclusion could they come up with? They KNOW Alison is dead. From their POV, it makes total sense to explain it away, even if the explanation is weak, because then otherwise they just look crazy.

I think at some point they have to put on their soap opera caps and at least be open to the possibility Ali is alive, even though a body that was supposedly hers was found. I certainly think whoever knew them has been visiting them for years, whether that be Ali or the twin. I mean, things move when she visits each one of them, lol. How many people can be having such a joint hallucination, and how can this person in the mask sound like Ali and know things only she knows? It's getting to the point where the explanations to explain their experiences with this person are more far-fetched than that not really being her body somehow.
