Huh? I think you are reading a bit too much into this. I can only speak for myself, of course, but I came here to post the link to Vancity Filming’s new pics, stumbled into this discussion and added a few thoughts on the question of whether or not promos are released with the creators' consent. It is my experience that particularly for ABC this is not true and they do what they want when it comes to promotional material.

This is why I, personally, tend to not put too much stock in stuff that's coming from ABC and wait for the show itself to reveal how the stories are going to unfold. And this is coming from someone whose OTP was featured rather heavily in this "timeless lovestories" vid as well. It's just my personal approach to all things ABC and it has nothing to do with one particular character or ship.

Just my two cents, that's all. And I'm gonna take a few steps back now anyway since I'm not really into the kind of discussion this is turning into again.

Changing the subject ... does anyone else think it would be a really cool twist if Rumpels magically re-attached Hook's hand? Last time we saw the hand, it was in Rumpel's possession and we know he never lets go of an artifact that might be useful 300 years hence. Would that be enough to overcome the enmity between them? (btw, I for one never believed Milha was really Hook's OTL and the main reason for Hook's hatred.)

It's almost like the stage/conditions have been set by "The Doctor" episode: Regina casting a "preservation spell" on Daniel's corpse and Gold re-attaching Dr. Whale's arm with magic could both be applied to Hook's hand.

Just speculatin'!

Yes and I will add on to the fact that the writers promoted and praised the promo. That's not in their contracts, they can choose what to promote and what not to promote. The network's job is to promote. The writers can promote what they want with the show whenever they want.

The writers clearly by praising and promoting the promo have given their consent and thumbs up to what was featured. That's all I say.

There are so many reasons that I love and watch ONCE...and as far as stopping because I don't like a pairing? seems a little extreme. I'm a huge fan of Hook...and I loved his scenes with Emma I thought they were amazing and among some of my favorite this season.

I think Hook is like every character on ONCE he has good qualities and bad...I'm sure he's done some terrible things...and people getting on his case is silly. Rumple murdered his mute maid, traded deals for babies, and gosh knows what else...and don't even get me started on Regina...we've hardly seen any of his (hook's ) backstory...and I believe that he wouldn't have left Emma. I didn't overly enjoy the Neal scenes...do I hate him? no...do I want him with Emma? I don't know..but I won't stop watching if they do..Once is more than one relationship to me..

Roughly 10 million people watch the show..there will never be a way to please everyone.

I just here for the journey that they take us on each week

on a side note...if the do find Bea...will he become a target for Cora too he's be leverage over RUMPLE?

Cinnamonhummingbird: That's an interesting post, but I also want to say that as a Captain Swan shipper I don't have a disappointing taste about the promo at all, because for me action speaks louder than words, and because this promo doesn't necessarily means for sure that Hook/Emma will end up together (eventhough I would love it!) it's however forshadowing to me that Hook might become as important to Emma than Charming is to Snow or Rumple is to Belle, and that's what I want to see happening

And if you're talking about Tumblr, sure, there's some dislike from Captain Swan shippers (among other shippers) for Neal/Emma, but there's also some Hook & Hook/Emma hate, so I guess everything is kind of fair over there! However, Fanforum isn't tumblr, and I wish that everyone could stay civil while voicing their opinions and respect the other's little moments of fangirling because it doesn't happen that often that you get something good for your ship As you said yourself, we (at least PrincessB and I but I don't recall seeing any shipper wars starting discussion back then) respected the fangirling when there was all the Neal/Emma news about the episode called "Manhattan" so I guess I would just have enjoyed it a bit more if it were the same when we got this promo with some Captain Swan

I don't mind Hook on his own but some characters are better off alone like Eric from true blood he is great on his own but put him with someone and he kinda gets dragged down .I think it would be the same with Hook let him be alone because if they pair him up with Emma they would have to change him water him down and make him a good guy .And we need at least one bad guy who stays in the grey area and who doesn't try to be good who stays evil.I just for once want to see a bad guy stay bad and not be romanticized by people .

Well, I'm not about to put my hand into this captain swan fire so all I'm here to say is thank you for the new spoilers and I can't believe Snow & Charming's sexy time gets interrupted not just by Emma but by Henry too!??? Holy cow what an embarrassment!!!!
I can't wait to see that scene. Emma's face is going to be effin priceless!!!!! I just hope we actually get to see a little bit of S&C in bed before the interruption please give us sexy snowing for at least more than 5 seconds!

I thought there would be more Archie/Regina and Archie/Belle scenes so I can't believe he's already dead?!

Becki: There are some characters that some people like seeing alone indeed, but I've never been part of those! Characters like Jack Sparrow, Nolan or Hook also deserve to be loved IMO! And I doubt that anyone can really be happy all alone by himself...

Don't worry, I'm sure there'll be many more villains/evil to come, but I really don't think Hook is one of them, he has always been a grey area character I think. It's what makes him interesting and 3 dimensional.

I don't understand, the producers and Raphael both said Belle and Dr. Hopper will be helping each other in Belle's centric. They said Hopper, not Jiminiy.

Maybe it's a fake-out? I'm just so confused.
