That scene from the side was in Tric, so they're in Tree Hill. But remember that often times, the casting sides don't actually make it into an episode, so I wouldn't necessarily expect to see that scene in the S7 premiere.

I believe in casting based on who is appropriate for the role in terms of acting/charisma ect but I have to admit that the qs asked to Matt raises a good point. The only black African Americans this show has is Skills and the stereotype NBA player of the week. I bet since Joy/Shantel/Sophia are dark haired, they'll pick a leggy blonde for Alexis. Kinda reminds me of tv here in Australia. If you watch an Australian show, they'll have you believing either we're all 1) blonde and living at the beach, 2) blonde and living in the sunny suburbs, 3) blonde, dumb and living in the sunny surburbs or 4) living in the outback, but still blonde.

I pictured Alexis as a brunette, but yeah, it'll probably be a blonde. It would go with the dumb thing. OTH has only had Skills as the only main black character, and he's kinda been stereotyped somewhat, and they've never really had a gay character either [Anna hardly counts].

I think it's strange though that they've been filming almost a week and they've not announced the actress for that part. I guess it's a given she's not in 7.01, though I was thinking she might be since she's new.

Color me shocked that someone actually asked Matt something other than, "So, any spoilers for OTH?" That was a good question. Why doesn't the show cast more minorities?

Jerry Rice making an appearance is very odd. Is he supposed to be a former client of Clay's? I'm surprised that the show didn't get a former NBA athlete.

Maybe the announcement of who is playing Alex will be as late as the announcement of who was playing Quinn? I hope the actress is good, because I don't think they're going to do the character any favors in the writing.

I don't know, but Alex will be in the second episode barring changes. And, while I'm not, not, not going to dig that character, at all, I don't think, I'm just glad it looks like she's in a different orbit, I hope it stays that way, but I digress... I suspect we'll hear something soon because she's popping up in the second episode if all holds.

I think someone asked if Paul/Dan is around? Dan is slated to be in episode two, as well, so that will make Paul 2/2 this season. Nick Lachey will pop up for a scene in episode two, KV/Mia returns, pretty sure Rachel returns in episode two, also. Let's see if we start hearing anything on those fronts, as far as casting updates and news goes for the show. I always like to air on the side of caution when I say things, so any of this could be whatever, but- We'll see. Pretty confident we can count on these things.

Yeah, I think so. And, I think he'll end up being a birthday present for Jamie, from him. Although, I can't say 100%, because two other NFL athlete names were floated for that, first one in the outlines, and then another in the schedule, but, I'm guessing they fell through due to schedule conflicts, hence this is the name that was released and we haven't heard any rumbles of the other names popping up in the episode. That's the only fit I can see Jerry having in this episode, though. I could always be wrong, though. We can classify it as strong speculation.

Thanks Krys. More Mia? More Nick Lachey? Ugh. Hopefully its just a one episode stint...a girl can dream right?

And Rachel is not someone I'm looking forward to seeing again. I didn't realize she'd be popping up so soon. Well she and Alex can float around Brooke's orbit all they want as long as they stay out of ours.

As for Jerry Rice, that's quite the elaborate birthday present. I don't follow football at all, so I probably wouldn't know the difference between him and any other names that were floated around.

Jerry Rice has been retired for a while. Considering the Tree Hill time jump before season five, it's been even longer since he was in the NFL.( haha )I think it is supposed to be 2013 in Tree Hill. Jamie now follows retired NFL players? That is very odd. I guess no former NBA players were available.

Maybe Jamie has decided he wants to break trend and be a footballer and not a basketball player. Fingers crossed that also means it won't follow in the family footsteps of knockin a girl or two up in highschool!
