Meh. I suppose since he is in the NBA now, it was a given that we would see scenes of him practicing - regardless if this season takes place in the off-season. But, I hope there isn't a huge emphasis on scenes of him just practicing on the court. It would get old quick. I didn't watch many of the episodes last season, but of the handful that I did watch, I did tire of the monotonous basketball scenes. They don't really have the spark when compared to the basketball scenes of seasons past - most likely because Nathan is playing on a much larger court and there is no gravitation to his other teammates or coach.

^ I've actually made my peace with Nate being in the NBA, and wait for it...I'm even getting excited for it

I guess knowing Clay will be there to help him is also a big positive. The reason why I was finding the basketball storyline to be boring in S6 was because it was really separate, whereas in earlier seasons there was Lucas/Haley cheerleading. But basketball has always been a consistent on this show, I didn't expect it to go away. I just hope now with Clay, and no more come back the NBA stuff will be balanced with relationship driven stuff too for Nate (with Haley/Jamie, Clay & Quinn).

That's a really good point, Jess. Basketball was tied to everyone on the show and now it's just Nathan's storyline and they don't really do anything with it.

^ Yep, that's my point exactly. All I hope for the NBA storyline is please no more player of the week competing with Nate & the groupies flirting with him; left right and centre. Nathan (also NH) now need fresher challenges, esp. since he has reached his NBA goal.

Agreed, and well stated. Granted, I didn't see everything, but the basketball scenes didn't seem to flow into other story lines. There were a few discussions between Nathan and Haley, but it's not like it impacted other characters on the show. Whereas, in past seasons, basketball was the background to all of the characters. Whether they were cheerleading, playing basketball, reporting the game, or sitting in the stands. Somehow, everyone seemed a part of it. Now, it seems very detached and estranged. I suppose that's what it is supposed to be though considering they've moved on in life.

It just doesn't pull me like it used to.

Since we haven't had any concrete spoilers regarding this upcoming season, what would everyone like to see in regards to challenges that Nathan and Haley face this season?

Along with this, I want NH to actually deal with the reality of being apart and I want it SHOWN how they deal with it and I want them more frustrated over it at times because I find it unrealistic that it's okay ALL the time. I want Nathan to struggle with being an NBA player since I'd imagine it'll be more rigorous than it was before on his other teams and I want him to question if this life and the fame is what he really wants. Sometimes our dreams (sorry Jess, had to say it) aren't as great as we thought they would be. For Haley, I want her to progress professionally. I think music is her path because with Peyton gone, they need someone to kind of fill that void and provide them with opportunities to have artists perform. Perhaps Quinn will do that and Haley will go on to whatever it is she will do. But I hate that they keep her in limbo. I want her to have a set path so that she can work towards achieving the greatness she is capable of whether it be as a teacher or a songwriter/producer/performer. I'm also curious as to how Haley would get along with the other basketball players' wives. How would Haley adjust to being a bball players' wife? Just fine I'm sure because the show likes to make things ridiculously easy in life and decides to complicate the stupidest things instead.

also, does anyone know where i could find the addresses of some of the main locations and/or studios.

My fingers are certainly crossed for that Molly. I hope they'll maximize on the NH dynamic and not do anything to tear it down.

I have a question for anyone that might know the answer. Do they do a cast script read like they did last Wednesday for every episode?
