Little awkwardness? That was full-blown. I'm still not sure why they even had Millie in that scene since she contributed nothing.

I didn't mind Haley/Millie's interaction in the scene from 6.07 when they were teasing Brooke about Owen, but I think that had more to do with the fact that I really like the way Joy delivered those lines vs seeing any actual friendship potential/chemistry between the two.

I'm pretty confident that Haley's main friendship relationship will be with Quinn. I'm sure she'll have friendship scenes with Brooke, too, but I don't think it will be a dominant relationship in terms of number of scenes.

And, of course, Nathan's main friendship next season will be with Clay, but I also think Haley will have her own friendship with him. I also see Nathan and Mouth having a few more scenes this season than they did in previous seasons, just by virtue of the fact that Nathan is in the NBA and Mouth is a sportscaster. I think 6.23 was a bit of a hint that they might interact as friends more...probably not a lot...but more than they did previously.

I agree Becky and that Millie/Haley scene was very akward in 6.23. I also don't mind if Mouth has more scenes with Nate as long as Mouth props him & not the other way round.

Indeed, that's the key with Nathan/anybody or Haley/anybody for me. They can prop a bit, but the favor needs to be returned for me to like the friendship.

Okay...its spoiler time.

As we know, Nathan will be a popular NBA player in S7 and has landed commercial endorsement deals. In the premiere, we will see him film one of those commercials…a commercial for body spray complete with a sexy model costar hanging all over his shirtless self. Will it amount to anything? No…well other than giving Clay an in for a one-night stand… but, of course, the writers couldn’t have Nathan endorsing products like Wheaties or Nike. They wouldn’t be able to get their quota of sexpot in the episode that way now, would they?

*sigh* so typical for the writers so can’t say I’m surprised. We all saw it coming.

Aside from that annoyance, am I too bothered? Honestly…no. Why? I’m not too sure, maybe because I know there’s no point and that it comes with being famous. I can’t blame Nate. I also doubt Nate will love it and show any interest.

Yes, very typical. Are any of us really all that surprised? And, honestly, it is something that comes with the profession that Nathan is in.

As for your statement that you doubt Nathan will love it? You're right on the money. He's uncomfortable with it and Clay pokes fun at that..teases him about his acting..or lack of acting..abilities. Nathan will also not be too keen on the product he's endorsing, since he would never use it himself. The part of this scene that just involves Nathan and Clay could actually prove to be somewhat humorous. Its definitely one that showcases the fact that they've built a friendship over the 14 month time jump.

Hopefully this scene is short. I’m not worried about it but that doesn’t mean I need to see anyone other than Haley draped all over him

Of course, I didn't expect it to be any other way which is why it didn't bug as much. Also knowing this was coming as soon as Nate made it to the NBA has made me prepare more for these kind of scenes. I'm assuming if the TRIC side doesn't appear in the ep that it was an indication to a scene like this.

It's really nothing to get worked up about, though. The scene is much more about Nathan and Clay's relationship and Nathan's current celebrity status than anything else.

Isn't that a bit of a landslide to that strong place NH were in Season 6 though? It's a wee bit of an insult if it's implied that he got anything out of the filming of the commercial.

Jess don't blame me if I can read between the lines. Not my fault.

Wooden = to ? put your mind in the gutter like Mark and company. He's sending a message with a play on words would be my guess. Not a molehill or a mountain but certainly a cheap shot for our ship after the last two seasons. Think of the famous woodpecker in the cartoons and tell me it's not typical BS. They could use something else to get their laugh lines.
