Several things I'd like to address:

First, I hated to hear about Powers Boothe's death. I always liked the role he played as Rayna's father. He was so good at being so bad. I haven't heard what he died from. Maybe we'll hear something later on. RIP, Powers. You were a very good actor.

Second thought is how unhappy I am that Cameron Scoggins will be promoted to regular on the show. I was hoping he would be an after-thought in season 6.....just another Riff or Vita. I guess he will continue to be an antagonist for Deacon. But I'm also not looking forward to he and Will being a couple. Will will be powerless in this relationship. Zach will call all the shots and I don't think Will can say no to anything Zach asks/tells him to do. He already has stepped out for Zach when Zach asked him to talk to Deacon about finishing the record.....something he really wasn't comfortable doing.

Lastly, This dang new promo just makes me angry! It doesn't make me want to watch the show at all. I agree, lg. Again Juliette is made out to be the over-the-top nut case. I'm so tired of that. She can't catch a break. I know what actually happens on the show may not be anything near the way it is portrayed in this promo. But my question right now is, WHY! One thing Marshall said a little while back was that now they were going to work on "deepening" these characters' relationships. Now, I see the angel Hallie seeming to turn against Juliette or maybe Juliette turning against Hallie. And of course, they have to make it look like Avery is all infatuated with Hallie. Just reminds me of Layla Grant and I'm surely not into reliving that story line. Give me a break!!! All I want is to watch a scene from 5B that shows Avery and Juliette happy....just for once! I don't care if they are determined to destroy their relationship. Just make me think for just a little bit......for only a fleeting moment....... that they are ecstatically happy.

Yep, so glad I decided to stop watching this train wreck. I can't believe they promoted Zach to a regular. The writing for this show is so inconsistent. Will broke up with Kevin because he didn't want to be in a relationship. So he doesn't want to be in a relationship with the guy he's in love with, he pined for, he asked for a second chance with and who was perfect for him. Yet we are supposed to believe that two seconds later he wants to be in a relationship with some annoying dweeb he has nothing in common with and isn't in love with. Yep, that makes total sense. There were a billion reasons writers to break up W/K and you picked the one that you were never going to follow up on. Now Will looks like a complete jerk and we are stuck with Zach. Nope!!

We have a teen runaway which reminds me of GH circa 1980.

Scarlett is a complete abomination. Most offensive story line for women in a very long time. Going forward she will be treated like a **** by her OB/GYN. I mean seriously!! How is this a show about strong women?

And now Juliette's character growth is being completely ignored and she is turning into a bitch on wheels. What was the point of 5A? Apparently these writers can't do a strong woman who isn't a cold hearted bitch. So stereotypical and cliched. Women have come farther than this.

This show just pisses me off in so many ways. Can't believe I wasted time bringing this show back for it to end up like this. So sad!!

I love the new promo that features Juliette. I was smiling by the end of it. This is the Juliette I love, not the church-going, unsure-of-herself Juliette, always asking Avery for reassurance. This Juliette who goes after what she wants even if she does the wrong thing along the way. Juliette making mistakes and then apologizing for them is her MO.

That said, I don't expect her to return to how she was in S4. If she does, then that is a stupid mistake. I also don't expect her and Avery to break up. I think Juliette will lash out like she always does, get called on it, probably by Avery or Glenn, and apologize or at least temper herself. She's obviously upset about the Gospel album, which sounds like it tanks, and is probably jealous that Hailey is doing well, so she lashes out.

I'm hoping this is not a long drawn-out storyline and Juliette comes to her senses pretty fast. In the meantime, I think I'm going to enjoy the ride.

I also enjoyed seeing Hailey stand up for herslef. She was a bit too goody-goody for me before.

I am not looking forward to the teen runaway story or anything to do with Zach. Blech.

Agreed! I like feisty Juliette so am looking forward to that.

I'm not super excited by the teen runaway story, although I do like Daphne getting some story regarding how she chooses to work through her grief. I don't mind Zach, so no real issue with that either.

The worst possible news just came out. CMT updated their FB page and they replaced the old image with one of Juliette, Deacond, and ....... Maddie. Please tell me she is not the third-most important character on the show.

Of all the changes to the show, Maddie is a deal-breaker for me. I think she's the worst character on TV. Period. And for some reason Marshall seems to love her. It makes me question his judgment in all things.

Couldn't agree with you more. He obviously loves Zach as well. But we've seen this in the spoilers already that the show is turning into the Maddie/Zach show so these things shouldn't be surprises. I guess I just keep hoping that the CMT surveys matter but apparently they don't. I can't imagine a lot of people saying that they wanted more of either Maddie or Zach. I specifically said I wanted less of them. It will be interesting to see how the ratings do this next half with the focus on Zach/Maddie and no Rayna. I really want the ratings to nosedive so that CMT will force changes especially since S6 is already a lock. But that probably won't happen either. I won't be watching the show going forward but I'm not ready to completely let go yet. Not sure why.

I can't quite let it go either. I want to see what happens to Juliette and Avery. Plus, extra notices like this one make me want to tun in. BTW, does anyone know which ep they're filming now?
