It's a good sign if none of the other old writers are coming back, in my opinion.

I can't wait to see the first episode of the season. I think it'll tell us a lot more about what we're in for.

Oh and as reported on previously.tv Will Chase is joining the cast of The Deuce, a new HBO drama about the 70's porn industry written by The Wire creator Simon. Should be great, I will definitely check it out.

Yes, tftnt! It has been a while since we got any new sides. Does anyone know when the new ones will be out? Are there certain days or times of the week they post them?

There's not a set day. Last season the schedule they were getting into was right after they'd start filming one episode the sides for the next episode would come out (so for example within the first day or two of filming 501, the sides for 502 would come out). So it was usually 1.5 weeks or so between sides.

But these came out like a month before filming. And it was mostly 501 but a couple of them were for the next few episodes. We'll see what kind of pattern they fall into, especially once filming starts

Anyone else see that random 221 side that was posted? At first I was like, "Whoa, Zoey's coming back?" and then it said Gunnar and Zoey kiss and I was like "Huhh?" and then I saw Layla's name and was like "Oh God no." Then I saw the episode number and date. That was a roller coaster of confusion for about 30 seconds.

^ Yeah... I got excited for a sec that they had added a new one... but I only got as far as the Maddie/Deacon scene and recognized it and then was trying to figure out why they were posting old stuff

I read that part and was like "Oh, nice, Deacon and Maddie are getting along," didn't recognize it at all, then skimmed Rayna's part and finally realized something was amiss when I got to Zoey's name. I hope some poor actor isn't out there memorizing lines from this script

That was my initial reaction too... followed a couple seconds later by "hey wait, I've seen this before"

I wondered if that military guy was going to be reintroduced again or something like that. Even though I don't remember that scene in the original. Was it cut?

Also, I have another question about one of the sides in S5. When Juliette went to see Dr. Goulding, at the end of that scene it says the doctor touched Juliette's cheek and Juliette turned her face trying to be brave. Well, isn't that kind of weird that the doctor touched her face? I read that sometimes the sides changed parts of a scene just to keep people from knowing what really happened. I wondered if Avery was the one who touched her cheek. The sides said "End" right before that line about the doctor was written.

The most Nashville generally does is try to black out lines to hide things (and usually not very well and for bigger things). Avery was already in the beginning of that scene, and that would be such an insignificant thing to change that no show would bother... and especially not one like Nashville that has never operated on secrecy

OK. I understand. Thanks for the reply. But I still think it's weird that the doctor touched her cheek. Maybe I read it wrong though. I'll go back and reread it.

No, I also thought that was a little strange, but maaayyybe? She would have known the doctor three weeks by that point. Things change too, so maybe it'll be Avery.
