Looked briefly and it seems like she was just getting in deeper to the wrong things by drinking at a club. Probably got cut because it didn't establish anything new in the storyline. She'll have the inappropriate producer next week to drive her back to her family. This was a filler episode for almost everyone, but Maddie's scenes were probably the most disposable and since the audience universally hates her right now, that was the best choice.

I wish they had kept some of Maddie's scenes and cut some of Layla's scenes. I got so tired of watching Avery fawn over her all night. He was "happy" to wear that stupid tie, and excited about giving her the "gift" of himself for the entire night, and encouraging her as she cry-babied about not having any support from Rayna. Waaa, Waaa, Waaa. He deserves to be her "boyfriend." How did he become a patsy for that spoiled immature brat. He has had no dignity this whole season. And did she not get hugged or kissed by every available male on the show? They never did that for Juliette or Rayna.
Layla and Maddie could be long lost twins.
And while I really enjoyed the song with Elton John and Gunnar, it was very long. They could have shortened it a lot to make room for the other story lines on the show. (But if they had shortened the song, they probably would have just given Layla more air time to b*tch and moan about not getting enough support.)
