The critically acclaimed drama series "Nashville" returns for a second season. In last season's finale, Rayna and Deacon's final moments left their lives hanging in the balance. But one thing is certain... their relationship will never be easy. Rayna will continue to be driven by her desire to expand upon her music empire, signing new talent and going head to head with a new label chief. Juliette is poised for a fresh start after her success was briefly mired by her short-lived marriage, an extortion plot, and the shocking death of her mother. As she continues to work towards shaping her sound and style, she'll discover there isn't a lot of room for error as emerging artists continue to nip at her heels. Deacon's fall from grace will force him to evolve from his role as band leader to a position outside of his comfort zone. The question is whether or not there'll be enough time to commit to his most important role of all...being a father.

With Rayna's record label backing her, Scarlett is still seeking out that magic she harnessed with Gunnar. Is Scarlett a flash in the pan? Or will she self destruct before she's had her moment in the spotlight? Gunnar is tragically aware that his window to stardom is beginning to close and that he'd better get his head back in the game. Did he ever really have what it takes to be a headliner or songwriter? Avery has had it all and lost it all. This time he's made an unlikely ally, and nothing is going to keep him down or prevent him from getting back on that path to stardom. Teddy's life has been turned upside-down since his break with Peggy, but nothing prepared him for how far she would be willing to go to get what she wanted.

"Music City" can mean so many things to different people. In Nashville, musicians and songwriters are at the heart of the storms driven by their own ambitions. Some are fueled by their creativity and passion for fame, others struggle to cope with the pressures of success and doing everything in their power to stay on top.

“On The Other Hand” -- As Will Lexington’s album climbs the chart with the help of Jeff Fordham’s deep pockets, Rayna enlists Teddy’s help to plan a huge, free concert at LP Field to draw attention to her Highway 65 debut. She will perform with Luke Wheeler and duet with Juliette before thousands of fans. Zoey, Avery and Gunnar rock out at a benefit for Deacon’s favorite charity, Sober House, and Avery plans to serenade Juliette with a song he wrote for her. But when he attempts to sing it, he doesn’t understand why she is not present. And Scarlett makes a decision about her future in Music City, on “Nashville,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 14 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Still really excited for the Rayna/Deacon/Beverly scenes in the next episode

I'm curious as to what songs are going to be in the episode though... seems like a lot of people are going to be too busy with Scarlett's breakdown to be singing

The title for 2.21 is really ominous to me :lol:

"With the two of you it is always going to be all or nothing. Are you sure that's what you want? Are you sure that's what he wants?" - Tandy about DR in 1.19

so yeah the title is giving me DR feelings :bawl:

I actually think DR are going to end up in the more positive "all" aspect of that title

well they've been much closer to the nothing end of the spectrum all season... so if it's about them I would assume they're moving towards the all category

(I was having emotional DR :bawl: feelings, not sad DR :bawl: feelings :lol:)

I think we are getting break ups in that episode. Luke/Rayna, Zoey/Gunnar?

Can't figure out where JA are gonna be though. Heading towards nothing I think, but maybe not broken up? Idk

well Luke's singing with Rayna at her concert in the finale so it wouldn't appear that they're broken up quite yet... I do hope that something happens in this episode (maybe with DR and the girls singing A Life That's Good) that forces the Luke or Deacon issue... and then Luke/Rayna breakup in the finale

I could see ZG breaking up.. but ZAG is also performing in the finale so :shrug:

I don't think we are getting any break ups in the episode. I think all of that will be saved for the finale. I think there will be things said maybe Avery will finally drop the I love you bomb but the break ups will all happen in the finale cause as far I as can tell ZAG is at the fundraiser performing in the finale so Z/G are probably still together, it looks like L/R go there together from that one pic I saw.
