So when does Juliette have the baby?

I would absolutely fine with this, lol (it being a middle name). It's not how they're selling it, but I couldn't possibly care less if they're misleading the audience with this poll as long as this poor child doesn't go without a name onscreen more than once an episode for weeks on end.

I just can't see Deacon and Rayna being the godparents, honestly. I think that IS more fanfic territory. Rayna and Avery have never directly interacted and this upcoming episode will be the first time since 3x04 that Juliette and Rayna have interacted on any kind of personal level (and I think it's the first time in several episodes that they will have interacted period). Juliette and Deacon are really no longer that close, and Deacon has a hell of a lot on his plate. If Juliette and Avery each got to pick a godparent, I'd say Gunnar and Emily would make the most logical choices- Avery is much closer to Gunnar than either he OR Juliette is to Deacon at this point, and Juliette is muchhhhhhh closer on a personal level to Emily than Rayna (and Avery most certainly is closer to her as well than he is to Rayna). An alternate godfather choice would be Glenn, but Emily is really the only logical choice for godmother. D/R would seem like the writers are forcing a connection that they haven't bothered to build organically in nearly two seasons.

I totally agree. These are the connections that make the most sense for these characters.

I so wanted DR to be the godparents but the writers have done a terrible job of maintaining those relationships

Although I could still see Rayna being the godmother. She wound up being the first person Juliette told she was pregnant and the one Juliette called when she thought she might be losing the baby the next episode. Rayna's throwing the baby shower, is there when her water breaks and stays with her in the hospital until Avery gets there. So even though she talks to Emily much more often I could also see her asking Rayna.

Pretty sure Deacon wouldn't agree to be the godfather at this point anyway. And he's barely interacted with Juliette or Avery this season. If they're considering Rayna I could see Deacon's name coming up since they'll be back together. I'd rather Glenn than Gunnar though. I'm afraid we'd have to hear about Gunnar's not kid again if he were the godfather. And I do not want JA baby godparent talks involving Micah

Have we determined yet that not kid is gone for good? Since Kiley is coming back it would make sense if they brought the kid back too...not that I want that in any way.

With Kiley coming back I'm really afraid we're not going to be able to avoid another appearance by the kid

And last thing I want is JA and their baby mixed up in that mess
