Marvel's Agent Carter S&S #1 - Agent Carter takes place a year after the events of Captain America: TFA and follows her career as a secret agent.

X

TUESDAY (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST) on ABC

“Marvel’s Agent Carter” returns for a dynamic second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable Agent Peggy Carter, working for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve).

Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Agent Carter journeys from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous – and bizarre – assignment yet. East Coast SSR Chief Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) sends Peggy to work with newly appointed West Coast SSR Chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) to explore a strange homicide involving a body that glows and emanates cold.

Upon her arrival, Peggy reunites with Howard Stark’s (Dominic Cooper) butler and her loyal partner-in-crime, Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy), who welcomes her to the Hollywood life and sets her up at Stark’s mansion. There, Peggy meets Ana (Lotte Verbeek), Jarvis’ free-spirited and devoted wife to whom she takes an immediate liking.

Eventually, the odd investigation leads Peggy to quirky yet charming scientist Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), who quickly becomes an ally — and sparks fly. As Peggy continues to find clues in this peculiar case, she is introduced to the machinations of Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett), a movie starlet, brilliant physicist and the true power behind husband and senatorial candidate Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham). Calvin, a politician who will do anything to get to the top, befriends Vernon Masters (Kurtwood Smith), a veteran of the War Department with a keen understanding of how to work the system. Peggy soon discovers that corruption seemingly runs deep, making it hard to distinguish the good versus the bad.

The search comes full circle when Russian spy Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) returns into Peggy’s life in a new and unexpected way. But even as Peggy discovers a new city, both old and new friends – and potentially a new love – she’s about to learn the bright lights of post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

When will we see more Dottie on Agent Carter? — Tristan
Very soon, and you may be surprised to hear that Peggy may actually use Dottie in her cat-and-mouse game with Whitney Frost — though that doesn’t mean she can trust her. “Dottie has no empathy, and that’s incredibly dangerous, because it means she’s sick,” Hayley Atwell says. “However, Peggy can’t deny that she can be extremely valuable. They both know, under the surface, this is a game of psychological warfare between them.”

So a very short season or is it more a long mini-movie? Not sure which

A period show will be a very nice change and may take a bit getting use to. Nice to see all the hours as a kid reading comics is starting to pay off! So many shows are getting based on comic book heroes and stories. Knew all that reading would come in handy some day (much to my mom's disapproval)

Thanks for sharing.

It's a short season of 8 episodes, i believe.

It will be broadcast during the break in the middle of Agents of Shield season 2.

A short season.

I love period shows and films, though shows haven't had the best track record on Network television. I think that this being a marvel show, based off the film Captain America with one of it's favorite characters, and only being eight episodes will be in their favor.

You're welcome.

There is a ton more, but the threads I made are for the show that are high on my list. You're welcome.

The show is going air during the break/hiatus for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so they only need so many episodes. I really like the idea. I think it will work for this show.

It's airing during SHIELD's break, but also, Haley Atwell is busy with other things, so she could only film so many episodes. Plus, they wanted to leave out the filler

I have no problem wiht short seasons at all, i have less and less patient for tv shows which drag things out because they have too many episodes.

If 8 episodes is enough to tell the story they want to tell, so be it.
