| Make It or Break It S&S #1: Because hot girls + hot guys + gymnastics = a great show Welcome to the First Make It or Break It Spoilers and Speculation Thread!  Show Summary: Set in the realm of competitive gymnastics, this ABC Family drama project follows a group of teen Olympic hopefuls in training for the big event. Episodes: Season 1, Episode 1 – Aired: 6/22/2009 Pilot A young gymnast with dreams of Olympic glory shakes up the status quo at a Colorado training facility.  Season 1, Episode 2 – Aired: 6/29/2009 Where's Marty? The parents try to help the girls get ready for Nationals after the defection of Marty and Lauren from the team. Everything is a mess and Emily worries about her scolarship. Meanwhile, the parents meet to discuss the future of the gym, Payson, Kaylie and Emily go to Denver to get some answers from Marty. But when they arrive at The Denver Elite Gymnastics Club after seeing the competition, will the girls got the nerve to tell Marty and Lauren what they wanted? Meanwhile, Lauren starts to regrets leaving her friends at The Rock when she gets a very cold welcome at the new gym.  Season 1, Episode 3 – Aired: 7/6/2009 Blowing Off Steam At The Rocks, the girls continue on without any direction but are surprise when Lauren, Steve and a new coach arrive. Emily, Payson and Kaylie decide to to to a high school party before the new coach's strict workout regime begins. At the party Emily runs into Razor, Kaylie fights with Carter and Payson thinks she's wasting her time there. Later, Lauren's birthday goes wrong when Summer arrives at the dinner party.   Season 1, Episode 4 – Airs: 7/13/2009 Sunday, Bloody Sasha, Sunday Sasha puts the girls through a brutal day of training as punishment for attending a party.  Season 1, Episode 5 – Airs: 7/20/2009 Like Mother, Like Daughter, Like Supermodel The Rock hosts a mother-daughter fashion show to raise funds for the gymnasts to attend Nationals in Boston, MA. | Thanks for aproving! I'll try to update the OP although I'm not really good at it! The show is AMAZING. Everyone should check it out. It's really nice to have a "gym" scenario, instead of a typical High School. The actresses are great, the families are well-developed... Plus, Gymnastics is the best sport ever. | This show is full of so much drama in only two episodes i love it! I have to say this though that lauren girl is ugh i cant stand her for the bit of it __________________ "And i know All the Odds are stacked against us but I know the rules Dont apply to LOVE!" | Yay! I'm glad other people are interested in the show. I REALLY like all the 4 lead girls, which is weird because normally I have a fav. Payson is probably my favorite if I had to chose one though. Lauren will probably be interesting to watch as we'll see her character develop on the show. Kaylie is really sweet and real... Emily reminds me SO much of Alexis Bledel... | yay I am soo glad there is a thread for this show. I love the three main girls (kaylie, payson, lauren) Lauren is probably my favorite but I actually can prolly relate to Payson just as much. Kaylie is just too adorable for words Its not that I dislike emily but they try too hard to make her an underdog and it irks me, plus the fact that she just doesnt look like a gymnast at all, lol __________________ "No one should be able to do what she can on 4 inches of WOOD!" | |||

| Payson is SO pretty too. And her little sister, adorable!!! I think Emily is not your typical underdog you know?? I hope she doesn't become the stereotypical Mary Sue because her character can be better than that... I think Razor is hotter than Leo... but Kaylie and Leo are adorable as bro/sis!! I see Lauren as the true underdog tbh, which is why she intrigues me so much. Back when I did sports I was prolly a combo of Lauren and Payson (mostly payson). I think thats why I like the show so much, I did used to do gymnastics but any show that has to do with sports is fun for me to watch bc people deal with athletic pressure in different ways and I def see faucets of ex teammates and myself in the shows characters. | As a gymnast, I was definetly like Kaylie. I love the sport and miss it everyday but I def had other priorities like friends, parties, boys... Payson is just...inspiring. I love her and I envy her dedication. I love shows/movies about sports but it's even better when it's gymnastics because that sport is just the hardest, most stressful ever. It's SUCH a tough sport and you have to be very tough... I like Lauren too but I think they went a bit too far already with her. I also can totally relate to her using her sport as a way to define herself. IA that Lauren can go a little too far but I think the actress and the connection I feel to her character feeling threatened is too close to home for me not to sympathize with. | by the way, its nice to see some of you guys I recognize from the GG board here! I reallyhope this show gets its own board bc I dont really want to be spoiled! Also, I think its cool that this show prolly wont have too many shipping wars since its more about the girls as ppl PS, you guys should join the LJ for this show, I would love to have non spoilery disc with ppl who like the show __________________ "No one should be able to do what she can on 4 inches of WOOD!" | |||
