I agree, I think its Brooke and he never meant the proposal to be serious, because I dont see him casually asking Lindsey or Peyton at this point, his personal problems with both of them are too serious and he was too casual in the way he asked.

you could feel the intensity!

it doesnt make sense at this point to be brooke because even though they have been getting on their hasn't been any 'moments' that has created a spark so he wouldnt just randomly call her and ask him to marry her.

so that leaves lindsey and peyton...and i just think that to bring lindsey back just wouldn't make sense either as she isnt one of the main characters.

awww no there always hope.. no worries.. i was worried too at first.. cus i almost thought it was a goodbye in a sense.. and i hated when he said 'its just a dream right?'
BUT all of it sounds like he needs reassurance.. Lucas has been 'rejected' by peyton, left at the altar.. and he's scared of being let down again.
'its still hard' hopefully is his way of saying that all this time his was trying to let her go, not fully over her
'it just a dream, RIGHT?' like he wanted to know what the dream meant to peyton.. if he shud read into it kinda thing

People saying it's tacky if Lucas elopes with Peyton. Yes it is, but he's also taking a huge gamble after what he did, to put his feelings on the line purely on that moment they shared in the episode and ask for her to marry him. It's an incredible gesture of faith if he does. Tacky or not it doesn't really matter, the material side of things is not LP. If they're married at a bus stop or a big chapel, it will matter that they're married and nothing else.

This could be a possibility, maybe Mark want to make people think that Lucas call if going to be for Lindsey or Peyton and Brooke said herself that she was expected a phonecall so naturally people think that the phonecall was the one she expected BUT it's Lucas... somehow this wouldn't be that horrible, knowing BL friendship they'll laugh about it

i guess it cud be a possibilty.. but Lucas didnt seem like he was joking at all.. i dont think he wud be in a joking mood.. in fact i think he knows Brook wudnt be in a joking mood either.. BUT if Mark decides to go this way i think its the most ridiculous excuse for a storyline ever!!! i mean come on do lucas and brook not have more sense then to vacation together??

I'm not even going to try to figure it all out anymore. I'm just going to wait until 6.01 to find out.

I liked that Lucas and Peyton talked and were being honest...no matter what the scene means. That's a step in the right direction for them.

I do not want Lucas to marry anyone on his trip to Vegas..maybe he won't even end up going

If he is he's further gone than any of us even knew, because given his situation it'd be a horrible joke.

This may have already been discussed but here's my take after a night of sleep and a hangover.

I think it's Peyton, but that scares me a bit with Lindsey. I could see LP running off and getting married and coming back and Lindsey drops the bombshell she's pregnant.

That would cause major drama for LP. Doesn't mean Lindsey will actually "have" the baby. I can see something going wrong, but it would cause alot of chaos and I really see no point for Lindsey to be back next season if not for some sort of crap like this and she was at the upfronts and his book is done.

But Lucas had already heard her voicemail and knew he had another chance with her, but CHOSE Peyton and wanted to marry her that night. So we'd still know Lucas chose her as would Lindsey.

I just didn't get a joking vibe from Lucas's call and if it wasn't a joke no way can it be Brooke. Mark doesn't need all the fanbases after the start of next season, he's already guaranteed it, he just wanted to get them all back after the summer in that lame fashion since he has no balls.

Plus we know Owen is back and a little birdie told me the hot doc might be back too. So, I see that taking Brooke's focus which rules her out too, imo.

One thing that did confuse me..that makes no difference one way or the other..did Lindsey leave a voice mail..or was Lucas on the phone with her..because she was talking and it showed Lucas on his phone at the RC?

Things are always subject to change..

I would hope Lucas wouldn't joke about that considering how much marriage means to him.
