I think this season has been mostly filler, truth be told. Unlike past seasons, nothing seems to come together at all.

I'm anticipating and hoping S6 will get both our ships out of this crappy funk that we're in now, because I think we can all agree it sucks, LOL.

Even if you like PH, you have to admit that the music thing is pretty redundant and just something thrown in at the last minute. Everything is plot-driven: One minute, Brooke doesn't qualify to adopt and the next minute she has a baby and is heartbroken that the baby is gone. NH reunite and they're both thrown into these repetitive careers. Quentin's hand still hasn't healed. Max comes out of the woodwork to give his sage advice. It's all just so crazy. Nothing makes sense at all. We even got Andy acting out of character spouting those absurd comments to Lucas.

Actually, Paul, I think the show turned even quicker than 5.07. 5.03 gave us the glimpse of the Lind/Peyt relationship that Mark was going to build for some ridiculous reason. 5.06 gave us the amnesiac Lucas whose crybaby rant about Peyton saying "No" angered us all. Nothing, I repeat nothing, has flowed together at all. Good grief, NH are laughing and joking about Psycho Carrie who almost detroyed their family.
Perhaps you're right Rebecca. However this is just a personal opinion, but however OTH gets off track and goes wrong, it always has a certain heart and soul to it. Peyton has been amazing this season and I feel so much for her. I can't say the same for any GG characters or any GG episode, even though I do watch and enjoy the show.

ITA, Im not happy at all, this pandering to all fanbases needs to stop, does he realize this is why we all fight? Why must he explain who the comet may or may not be. It jus tmakes everyone hopeful and fight even more. It doesnt any sense. IMO Im hoping he means no LP scenes in season 5, which like Paul said we all predicted and he does NOT mean season 6.

Regardless of how the rest of the season has been, I'm thankful for 5.02 and YAM 2.0, I'm thankful for 5.04, 5.05 and 5.08 with the quotes from his book about Peyton and 5.12 for his 2nd book. Those things can't be taken away so I'm grateful for them. Just look at our opening post

Oh, no, Paul, I totally agree that GG has no heart, and ultimately that will turn me away from the show. But I was contrasting how differently the show runners/writers/actors returned from the strike. It's just a glaring comparison that is puzzling.

I honestly am not paying any attention to what Mark may or may not have said. That OTH Forums guy was just summarizing and interpreting things anyways. But even if I saw the video of it, I still wouldn't pay any attention.

Explaining who the comet is is like explaining that it was Dan who killed Keith. So freakin' obvious.

IA And I can say the same for Shonda and Grey's. I was blown away by the first post-strike episode. And I remember reading an article she wrote on TV Guide and how she talked about how she used the time off to reflect on the storylines. It was refreshing. I know Mark didn't do the same.

Oh ok, well that makes sense and I agree although I will probably watch GG till it concludes. I'm not that difficult to please for entertainment. OTH I have to say actually means more to me than that. That's the one thing that despite everything else makes this show kind of special. It really does suck people in for the long haul, get debates going and really make everyone care.

as for the rest ITA I just don't care for any interviews like those.

And as much as I love Peyton Serena VD Woodson is going to have the better storyline IMO no matter how bad it will be played out

The strike pretty much halted all of the momentum that was built in 5.12. It doesn't seem like we'll be getting any momentum back until 5.17, with the 'IHY'. But it's too bad that four episodes have to be flat in the meantime.

ME too. Some pre-strike episodes of various shows have seemed rush and badly put together, but she really put that time to good use. It was like she was finally addressing some things that people have been complaining about and is on the road to fixing them. To me, it felt like old-school Grey's Anatomy.

I really do wonder what he was doing with his strike time. I know he wasn't prepared for it because he was in denial about it even happening, like Rebecca has said, but that doesn't mean she should have wasted that time off. It's not like he was taking time out picketing or something.

I think these last episodes were just thrown out there, like so many have said they seem like filler episodes and we are not really getting anything new out of them. We could have left them all out and we would have had pretty much the same outcome that 5.12 gave us initially. Except for the Brooke/Baby BS that hello in actual reality would never happen.

But I agree, Hilarie makes Peyton. Her acting is always on point even when Peyton has lame ass storylines. I found GG interesting this past week, I was pretty enwrapped in it and next week looks even better. I can only hope it pulls in some viewers for its following show.

I just feel like we're always waiting with this show. We waited for S5 for FOREVER and were rewarded with 90% crap. We waited throughout the strike, and we're receiving more crap, and now we'll wait for S6 for god knows how long.
