So, Lucas's storyline will revolve around the women in his life? Wow, that is thrilling. What has happened to his character?

This season makes me nauseated. It has had no direction, no plan, no substance. Yes, the strike played a major role in that, and the whole thing about the show not getting a full season pick-up from the beginning hindered some storytelling, but goodness, this is rivaling season two's lackluster creation.

Yes and let's face it, it was going off the rails before the strike ever happened. The episodes from the end of 507 onwards in terms of story direction have been ridiculous.

"5.18 is in fact Lindsey's last episode."
Finally some good news. Thanks Taylor.

ITA curlyhead the story got ridiculous imo after 508, it didnt make any sense, now look at Lucas, Mr. P.I.M.P. in a love quadrateral (Brooke, Lindsey and Peyton). Why am I not suprised.

I have to disagree, there are some pretty decent story lines. As a Leyton fan I have been frustrated, but there have been great friendship scenes with the girls and the other characters, its just Lucas who I believe has gone REALLY downhill.

I watched GG the other night, and it was striking how much better it was than OTH. The show came back from the strike on fire and the rest of its season looks even better. The actors seemed fresh and invigorated and the writing was sharp and intriguing. OTH has been a mess in both episodes. Even if you like PH, you have to admit that the music thing is pretty redundant and just something thrown in at the last minute. Everything is plot-driven: One minute, Brooke doesn't qualify to adopt and the next minute she has a baby and is heartbroken that the baby is gone. NH reunite and they're both thrown into these repetitive careers. Quentin's hand still hasn't healed. Max comes out of the woodwork to give his sage advice. It's all just so crazy. Nothing makes sense at all. We even got Andy acting out of character spouting those absurd comments to Lucas.

Actually, Paul, I think the show turned even quicker than 5.07. 5.03 gave us the glimpse of the Lind/Peyt relationship that Mark was going to build for some ridiculous reason. 5.06 gave us the amnesiac Lucas whose crybaby rant about Peyton saying "No" angered us all. Nothing, I repeat nothing, has flowed together at all. Good grief, NH are laughing and joking about Psycho Carrie who almost detroyed their family.

hahahaha so true LOL GG came back on fire, and OTH came back a flop and a half at best. Totally agree, GG has new storylines and they def pimped up their season, OTH cam eback with storylines that fit the structure of season 6 they had planned and look lackluster at best

I think you mean 5.08, Lena. I think 5.09 was the library episode that Mark wrote.

This season has been crazy to say the least.

Despite the absurdity of it all, in my opinion, Hilarie has moved up several levels in the acting department this season. She owns her character now, and I haven't cared about Peyton as much in any other season as I have this season. I just wanted to hug her in almost every episode.

Why does Mark need to explain who the comet is? That's ridiculous. And "he won't be spending much time with Peyton....but he will" sounds to me like it's going to be a long while before there is LP again, but it will happen.
