Not since the pilot just in 1.10 they said micheal would always love Jane until the moment he took his last breath which had me worried about his fate. Still I didn't think it would happen this season until one of the actress's accidntly spoil it and still they could have done a flash forward to micheal dying as an old dude

I think the fact that Jane/Michael got together too quickly and were too happy was a big sign something was going to happen. Like they basically got a happy ending in season 2 of a show.. usually that doesn't bode well.

Maybe not since the pilot, I knew it was S1 somewhere.

they have been scratching out the virgin part to different things ever since she lost her virginity earlier this season.

Right.There were a few things. There was the line in the first season. There was the "happily ever after" way they wrote him and their relationship in the second season, there were hints about his health this season and even the narrator made a few wistful comments recently hinting at what was to come.

That was the scratched out title in this past episode but it'll probably be something different next week. I do think it's funny that they could change the title to Jane the Viuda (widow in Spanish) and keep the JTV acronym.

In the interview, the showrunner said exactly that. She forced the writers to insert the foreshadowing hint during season 1 otherwise they'd back out of doing it. Since everyone really, really liked Brett and loved the couple's chemistry, she was afraid they'd back out of killing off the character as planned.

I'm really glad they didn't back out of it! I always saw it coming which is why I forced myself through the Jane and Michael blandness. I can understand them liking an actor but if they really liked the character then, personally, I would have tried to write the character as more interesting than in the mind-numbingly, boring way that they did.

I know people liked Jane and Michael but unfortunately what made them the couple they were also made them unsustainable storywise. Their relationship had to either change, and therefore become something that their fans hate or they kill him off to keep them the way they were forever but still move the story forward. The fact they were written in the way that they were made it obvious that he wasn't long for this world - and that's without the constant hints from the narrator.

My biggest issue with Jane and Michael was that I felt Jane was so self-righteous when she was with him - she always had someone to agree with her no matter what! And he did! But now, Jane has started to show and accept that she has flaws and is someone that I can route for! I think in many ways, Michael's death breathed new life into this show.
