I really hope that they dont drop the Chase storyline it would be the episode (Or episode) that will get screentime for that man because near the end he was kind of left out thats why i love "Forever" so much. It's not because Jesse is really NICE to look at (Thats only half of it ) it's because Chase is my favorite character with all of his sucking up like when House was juggling and when he caught the ball behind him House was like "No aplause" and Chase was about to clap but Foreman and Cameron didn't so Chase didn't plus he has the best back story (to me) it's so interesting and kind of a downer and thats what i like.

Hello. I don't usually post here because I'm not spoiled for House. It's my favorite show and I try to stay away from any mention of it during the season, lol. However, I saw 3.01 last night. I received the screener in the mail. I'm still trying to figure out how I was so lucky.

Anyway, I must say that House is just as awesome as ever. It was a great follow up to the season two finale. I don't want to go into a lot of detail because I don't know how people feel about that. However, if people would like me to do a recap of the episode, I'd be more than happy to do that after I get home from work tonight. It really is a wonderful episode. At least I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well first, I'm going to go off memory here. So first things first - House can walk now. He had 8 weeks of therapy and he has no pain. The ketamine seems to be doing it's job. The episode opens up on him running around a park, looking pretty hot I might add, lol. It goes into his first day back to work. He's in pretty good spirits. He runs the 8 miles to work on his first day back. Wilson and Cuddy are trying to find him the most interesting case and when he runs in all sweaty, they are a little shocked that he ran in. Cuddy is a little skeptical about how well the ketamine is working and House asks if she wants him to say thank you once again for removing the bullet and also giving him his leg back? Which he does in a nice sarcastic way. House is feeling ambitious and takes on two cases. One female that Cuddy had chosen - a 26 (I think) year old female (who Cuddy says is cute) who was doing yoga, fell, and snapped her neck leaving her paralyzed. However there was actually no sign of spinal damage. The 2nd case is Wilson's pick, which is a man who had a tumor of the brain 8 years ago, had it removed, and is now brain damaged and in a wheel chair. At a summer get together he drives himself in his wheel chair into a pool.

I'm not going to be able to go into all the medical stuff because I don't remember that off the top of my head. I can go back tonight and fill in the missing links.

I do know that House is enjoying being able to walk and run and what not. At one point he is talking to Cameron in the hallway about a case and I believe they are disagreeing (what's new?) about something and he says something along the lines of how now there is one thing he can do that he couldn't before. She asks what. He looks over her shoulder like he sees something, she turns to look, he does a fake out, and literally runs away. We next see him coming to a sliding hault inside the female patients room saying "What happened?" It's really pretty funny.

Later, House asks Cameron to go out for a drink. And to eat if she eats. She asks if he is being serious. He is. She starts to turn him down saying that she shouldn't, he's her boss etc. etc. House is smiling. Cameron doesn't understand why he is smiling when she is turning him down. He says that it's because she is full of crap. That she only wanted to date him before because he was like an injured puppy who needed to be nursed back to health. And now that he is healthy she is no longer interested. Cameron looks at him, smiles, and says 'You are not healthy." Then she walks away.

And I'm literally drawing a blank here. I know that House is still having difficulty dealing with not being on medication. At one point he is outside the university with Wilson on a skateboard. He's doing jumps off of the bench. He lands one and sticks it to which is says "I stuck that premo! How rad am I?" He skates off, and then we see him feeling his leg. Some pain has returned. Later on he goes to Wilson and tells him that the pain returned. Wilson asked how bad, and House says bad enough that he is telling him. He asks Wilson to give him a prescription for Vicodin. Wilson denies him, saying the ketamine worked and he doesn't need pills, I think saying he just misses the high.

For the medical stuff, House has been going off of hunches instead of reason like he normally does. He had asked Cuddy for approval of something for the guy with the tumor, but she says no saying that they can't just go off of a hunch. That night House is out running again. He is really hot and sweaty and trying to get a drink from a water fountain to cool off but isn't getting anything. He sees the big water fountain in the middle of the university and jumps in to cool off. This apparently gives him the answer to the tumor patient guy. So House runs to Cuddy's house in the middle of the night and knocks on her window. He tells her what he thinks and what they need to do, and Cuddy says he is high. He says she knows he hasn't been on anything for 3 months. She still tells him they can't preform a procedure on a guy just because House had some vision while standing in the middle of the university water fountain.

The next day they release the patient. As they are about to enter the elevator Cuddy decides to take a gamble. She injects the patient with cortisol (which is what House had suggested). Not 2 minutes later the man is trying to stand and is hugging his family. House was right.

Cuddy is talking to Wilson and says she has to go tell House. Wilson stops her and says she can't, but she says she has to - he was right. Wilson asks her why she decided to do what House said. Her response is because it's House. Wilson asks what medical reason did she have? Cuddy says none. Wilson says that House got lucky. That if they tell him he was right, he'll try it again sometime and he'll just end up killing a patient. Cuddy says she can't just ignore it. She sees House every day. Wilson says "everybody lies." They walk out together.

The final scene is House sitting in his office. You Can't Always Get What You Want is playing in the background. He goes into Wilson's office, goes through his desk and finds his prescription tablet, and writes himself a prescription for vicodin. Cue credits.

Wow. I did better than I thought I did, lol. And if you have questions because something is rambly and not clear, let me know. I'm sure it's all a little rambly lol.

GAHHHHHH!!!! Why, Cameron, why?! You should have said "YES!" Okay, David Shore isn't starting the season in my good books . Well, we can only hope we get something better later on in the season.

Oh, thank god for that. The Cameron/House plotline just gives me an icky squicky feeling every time they're on the screen together.

On a less shipper note, I have to say the fact that he's running eight miles really tests my suspension of disbelief quite a lot. Still, nice to know he's still got the Vicodin addiction, eh?

I don't think they really do address that. And I think that's an issue a lot of people may have. I think House just basically says he's been in recovery for 8 weeks. And there is Cuddy to be like "Are you sure you're okay.. the ketamine could still wear off.." etc. And we do see a little bit of pain later in the episode, so I don't know what that means for the future. He may have just been pushing himself too hard.

Sounds rather ominous. As we know his cane's coming back, my guess is we're catching the tail end of happy House and looking forwards in the next eps to House hiding the pain.

I did, yes. I found it to be really funny and touching all at once. It's obvious House is still dealing with everything. When he comes back into the office to meet up with Cameron/Chase/Foreman he sees the blood stained carpet on the floor. He stares at it a bit. Cameron says she asked Cuddy to get the carpet removed, but he says he likes it there or something. And there is one point when he is talking to Wilson in the hospital after being with a patient and he said that he didn't know how to feel or what he was supposed to be feeling. The funny thing about this scene - House is leaning over a railing eating grapes. Below him is a janitor. He is throwing the grapes at the janitor trying to hit him. Wilson comes out and leans over the railing too. House finally hits the guy in the back and is able to jump back out of the way without being seen leaving Wilson to look like the guilty party.

I'm not a House/Cameron fan, but I did think their scenes were... cute? House is obviously just testing a theory when he asks Cameron out on a date. He knew that before she only wanted to date him because he was damaged. I don't think he was completely interested in going out with her, he was just interested in the answer. And he got the answer he suspected. But I wouldn't say that Cameron is over House. Her "you are not healthy" was flirty, I won't deny that. I'm not sure what House was feeling at that point.

I feel like I'm leaving Chase/Foreman out, but they were really only part of the medical storyline. So unfortunately it wasn't that memorable to me.

2. Can you tell us the strong points and the weak points?

Hmm, I guess one of the things that I felt was weird was that there was no mention of any of the dream sequence from the finale. I know it was all in his head, but the finale was so powerful some sort of mention would have been good. It seemed to go from one extreme to the other, if that makes sense. Powerful and insane to just back to normal with House having the ability to run. Maybe a mention to Wilson about the dream would have been good. But there was nothing. I did like seeing a more chipper House. Not like he is seeing a brighter outlook on life, but he enjoys his mobility. He's still sarcastic, he still does things that are questionable - like with the paralyzed victim, after Chase and Foreman tell him that she twitched when they placed a needle in her thigh, he takes a lighter to her foot to see if she can feel it. She can. He claims that she is faking being paralyzed at all. He tells them to release her because she is psycho or something. Of course just as they go to release her she gets tightness of breath and ends up with other symptoms and blood forming around the heart. I honestly don't remember the outcome of that storyline so I'm not sure if it was finished.

I guess I would have liked a little more focus on what happened in the finale, but there really wasn't much mention of it at all. At least not that I recall. I'm sure I'll rewatch it tonight to see if I missed something.

3. Any chance you can post a few screencaps?

Is there any mention of Cuddy's in vitro fertilization attempts? A passing sentence, even? Or have they ignored it and dropped the plotline completely?

As for Cuddy and the in vitro - as far as I can recall there was no mention, not even in passing. I personally thought that from the promo where Cuddy cries, it was because she was being told she couldn't have children or something in regards to that. In reality, she is crying over the tumor patient when he stands up and is able to hug his family. It's touching.
