I tell you, this forum is balm for my soul. I was just over at TWOP's House thread and can someone explain to me why everyone over there shows such extreme animosity towards House/Cam? I really don't get it. I don't think they're watching the same show I am. House/Cam is my favorite part of the show and has been from the beginning. I wonder if most of their posters are men? I know most guys hate any aspect of romance in a show. Either that or they're all just a bunch of cold, uptight, very jaded and unhappy people. What bothers me is I think TPTB go to TWOP a lot to read fans' reactions and all they'll be getting there is anti-Cameron junk. It's interesting in that I registered over there and you have to be "approved" before you're allowed to post. So far it's been about a week and they still haven't given me access. Maybe they only let anti-Cameron people post.
What do you guys think---are we in the minority here? At least Ausiello seems to be for House/Cam!

Yeah, I totally know what you're talking about with regards to TWOP. Man, you'd think that the spoiler says House becomes a big old stuffed teddy bear and is a mush at Cameron's feet. It's like they either don't want House to have any romantic relationships at all because they feel it threatens who he is or they really hate the idea of him and Cameron because she doesn't understand House and will be the death of him.

One of the reasons why I love H/C is because of their differences in personalities. They are polar opposites of each other and I find that intriguing with so many directions to go and I believe that it'll make for interesting dynamics between the two.

A lot of forums I go to seem to have this anti-Cameron atmosphere and I don't get it. There are a lot of H/C shippers out there, but you probably won't find them posting at places like TWOP -- I'm registered there but I have yet to make a post because I'm not at the point where I am comfortable posting anything without the fear of people asking me "what's wrong with you?".

I like Cameron alot, over at imdb they are all like "Cameron is a bitch she is so cold" i mean WTF she is the soft of the group she has never been a bitch she is all caring and i do want House to be in a romantic relationship not trying to be offences or anything like i dont want to start a fight with couples so im sorry but i like Huddy, House/Wilson and Chouse and I dont think House will ever become a softy David Shore said that whats House is about and if he ever acts nice then they might as well just cancel the show because House's jackassery is the part that people want to see and it's true that is one of the best parts of the show.

You know what, I've been to TWOP and just decided not to go there anymore. It's always so negative and I just don't like the atmosphere there. I pretty much just stick to FF because everyone's allowed to have their own opinions and everyone just gets along. ( Awwwww )

Oh, and the reason you haven't been excepted might be because your sn is either too childish or too fangirly (for example: HouseCamlover88, Houseroxmysox46). They're all about maturity over there. They don't like names like that. It clearly states in it's mile long rule book NOT to have sn's that are too childish or fangirly! When I was making a sn it took me, like, 10 minutes to read through all of the rules.

Anyway, my favorite character is Cameron. I, personally, can't see how or why people don't like her, but I also don't criticize them if they don't. And I think that it's obvious that I'm obsessed with House and Cameron. You know, people like different things and different SL's and different couples, and I like this place because I feel like people here except that.

And if you haven't yet, try visiting Dysfunction Junction - The H/C LiveJournal Community, there's mucho Cameron and H/C love there.

ETA: Plus, I wouldn't worry about anyone on the writing staff visiting places like that. I mean, even if they do, they know what to dismiss. They know these characters and, IMO, they haven't severely let us down yet, so I have faith in their writing and SL's.

We may just be the only two people here who don't ship House/Cam. Hehe. I think this is my first time not shipping one of the most popular couples on a show. Very interesting.

Thanks for your comments, everyone! I know everyone has different 'ships and that's fine--it's the negativity and the "I'll never watch again if House/Cameron get together!" stuff that gets to me. I like all the characters on the show and I like House's relationships with all of them--they all have something special. If someone ships House with someone else that's fine--at least here no one's mean about it and is understanding of everyone else's likes and dislikes! Angelle13, I agree with your reason for liking House/Cam--they are opposites in many ways and I find their attraction really intriguing too. javajunkie4eva88, thanks for the link to Dysfunction Junction! I'm looking forward to checking it out! My sn over at TWOP was going to be HouseRules so I don't think it would have been too objectionable--but you never know. They just seem too stick-in-the-mud-ish for me. I like YTAW's House board too--they are House/Cam friendly.
And, no, I would never want House to change and become a big softie outwardly. Inwardly, you know he really IS a caring person which is very, very intriguing how he tries to hide it. You see it come out in keeping Steve McQueen as a pet, being thoughtful enough to buy Cameron a corsage on their date (that was the sweetest thing!!), the way he browbeats the patients which is the only way many of them would survive. The dichotomy that is House is the soul of the show and that should never change. But never allowing him to have a relationship is absurd. You know he can love because he loved Stacy and loved enough to let her go knowing she would be happier with someone else. House is very much a hero at heart and he does his darndest to hide it. It's his relationships with the other characters that lets us see glimpses of the real House. I find it most interesting how it's Cameron who seems to fluster him the most--she doesn't let him get away with anything and I think he secretly loves that about her. That's why I find them the most interesting un-couple.

I would never say "I am never gonna what House again" in a die hard House fan no couple is going to come in between that i hate it when people say that like when gsr happened people were like at imdb "I am so over with this show" and i was thinking wtf yeah i didn't like it etheir but i love csi and for the people who say that they most likley watch it because of the great looking people and how cute one couple is. The awesome show is just a bonus to them.

I totally agree, csikicksurass22. Here they are watching a fantastic show which has always been fantastic and they get all militant over this ONE issue. It was set up in the beginning Cameron's infatuation with House just as Sarah's for Grissom in CSI. Those people still watched the show--why are they screaming about it now? If they were so against attractions for these couples why did they watch in the first place knowing that was going to be part of the show? It's all part of the package--no, it's not THE center of the show, of course, but it's part of the show, it's part of what the show IS. And it must be working because House is a very popular show and it keeps gaining more viewers. CSI has been number one for a long time too. The writers, I hope, aren't going to mess with success. Sure the show's storylines are going to evolve and possibly go in different directions--we just have to have faith in the writers that they know what they're doing to remain true to each character. That's all I ask of them.

I know i dont think the CSI guys will screw it up. About the couples people like me and -Genevieve- know that we dont have the tv couple but i dont ship it for what im going to see but what i see and thats the same with couples like Snickers (which i do ship) we know that are couple might not happen but we like it anyways because we see that it's a good couple. I know that Cam and House are going to get together but i dont care thats not going to change my persective on the show or Chase/Cameron im still going to the show and the couple.

That's a good attitude to have, csikicksurass22. I think Chase is really sweet--especially in the episode with the little girl with cancer who wanted him to kiss her. You know it's a good show when all the characters have good chemistry together. None of the ships are bad ones, really. If I were younger I'd probably be rooting for Cam/Chase myself. I'm only 5 years younger than Hugh so that's why I lean towards him. Eeek! I'm giving away my advanced age!

Since im 13 i got to see Chase/Cameron and i dont think it will change when im older but thats only because i started young and i stick to my guns your right no couples are bad on any show it's just that one couple does it better for different people and as a Chase fangirl i have to say Chase is a sweet heart and when he gave Andie the tickets and said the prayer for Michael that was a tear jerker. I dont think him kissing Andie was a bad thing it was really cute and after he said the payer i think it changed alot of peoples persectives on Chase.

I know it changed my perspective on Chase. On Inside the Actor's Studio, Hugh was asked to comment on all the cast members. He said that Jesse was the nicest guy you'd ever meet and that he was a really good actor. On that scene of Chase kissing Andie, afterwards when the others heard about it was one of the funniest scenes with their reactions. I was like, Don't tell them--they'll think you're a freak! But he did and it was hilarious!
