Kyle was moved to the "Boneyard" Protection Unit so that he'd be protected from Gunno getting to him. Heath and Bianca were visiting (this was post-Revenge; the kidnapping obviously). Gunno found out they were visiting Kyle and orchestracted a riot so that the prison went into lockdown which resuted in Heath/Bianca being trapped inside the prison.
Gunno took over the command center taking control of the entire prison. He then tookover the intercom and put out the "Find Me A Braxton" hit on Kyle, Heath and Bianca.

Meanwhile, Kyle saved a prison guard when the PU prisoners were attacked on the way back to the boneyard. One of the boneyard prisoners narked Kyle's location out to Gunno over the guards walkie-talkie so with the help of the guard Kyle escaped the boneyard and took the guard with him. The riot was all over the news so Nate/Ash headed to the prison to try help get Heath/Bianca out.

Heath/Bianca hid out in the vents and Kyle/the guard in the laundry room. Ash got in the prison through a secret exit he knew of from his time in the same prison. He got Bianca out but Heath refused to leave without Kyle so stayed whle they left. Ash went back in because Bianca was hysterical about getting Heath out. It's lucky that Heath wouldn't leave because Gunno shot Kyle twice and left him for dead. Heath found Kyle they were taking him to their secret exit when Gunno showed up and Ash took off after him.

While escaping Kyle declared his love for Isla (she earlier did the same while speaking to Bianca outside the prison; she was scared for Kyle's safety after hearing about the riot) expressing hurt at her not having visited him over the last 2 months. Kyle and Isla were reunited in the back of an ambulance with Isla explaining she'd stopped visiting out of guilt at seeing him in prison for her crime. Kyle asked if they had a future to which she responded with a kiss. That's the last that was shown of them but Nate mentioned that surgeons would need his medical records so I gather he was going to be getting surgery to remove the bullets. The prison guard that Kyle saved was interviewed by a reporter and he mentioned that he was going to recommend that Kyle's sentence be reconsidered.

Ash vs Gunno showdown ended with Gunno accidentally shot. The same guard that Kyle saved opted to shield Ash by claiming it was him (not Ash) who killed Gunno in self defence.

The special ended with Bianca telling Heath that she's pregnant.
