Why so little info on Hook and Emma? Because they're not in it much except for a few meaningful scenes? Or because they're part of a larger secret that the showrunners are surprised hasn't been leaked?

Not really looking forward to seeing a 'cowardly' Hook. I'm hoping that even if his AU story is that he can't handle a sword, he still has the tenacity to go after what he wants...a callback to this season's poster. And if we get an I Love You from Emma at the end, it will mimic her poster as well.
There hasn't been small info on Hook and Emma. They're saying the finale is their favorite CS episode and there's MANY scenes for CS fans to look forward to.

I think there has been hints but we really don't have much of an idea of their roles in this AU.

Yeesh...that is harsh. Michael filmed for at least two days. I'm shocked that they considered his scenes so inconsequential they cut out all appearances. They kept him on call for those three weeks of filming and didn't feature him at all. So he could have actually wrapped after 4x19 and gone home MUCH earlier.

A&E's treatment of Michael has been so mean this year. He is such a talented actor who was a real scene-stealer on Wonderland and they treated him like absolute crap. On one hand he has probably appreciated being paid for every episode, even ones he didn't appear in, this season. On the other hand this year has been a waste for him career-wise. He spent most of his time in Vancouver just waiting around and being very far from his son. They didn't even give him time off for pilot season.

I guess since he doesn't even appear as a background character in the finale, he won't be back as a regular. Will is probably going to "disappear" into Storybrooke. I guess when A&E decide they want to finish the Will/Ana story (that they completely ruined for nothing! ) the actors will guest star.
Unfreakingbelievable.

2 days and counting!!!

I am guessing for henry to change things he has to effect what the outcome in the AU book to break it. First henry has to figure out how the story ends and prevent whatever the point of the story is before the bells ring

As for this offer that Robin makes to regin A&E said by the end of the season we would know where they both stand so maybe it is about that.

Maybe, but don't we already know where they stand? I mean, at the end of the last episode Regina decided she won't let this stand in their way and they got back together despite Zelena's pregnancy.

That's why I keep suspecting they were forced to hire him by the network. It's the only explanation I can see.

We know he was in the wedding. My guess is that he will be in the finale but it will be like the scene in 4 A, when he was in the townline with other merry men, but because he had no lines, no one noticed him.

That's what I was thinking, too ...

I'm going to play a little devil's advocate here...

I know a lot of people that enjoy Will are upset at his lack of a storyline this season, and I completely understand that. I don't know that that absolutely translates into Michael being screwed over by A&E though. It could be possible that when Wonderland ended, they wanted him to still be part of their franchise. Maybe they told him that his character couldn't get worked into the storyline much for this season, but would be featured more next? Isn't it possible that he understood all of this when he went into it? Or maybe they hoped he could be worked in more, but it just didn't work out?

It just seems like so many actors enjoy coming back and working for A&E... I'm not sure that would be the case if they were genuinely mean to the people that worked with them.

I agree with you on this. Just because he didn't get a storyline front and center this year doesn't mean they were purposefully being mean to him. Like you said ... so many actors like working for A&E I highly doubt they intentionally gave him a small role.

I think it's more likely that they had a big plan for him and then they got the rights to Frozen and they realized they couldn't tell both stories at the same time. Most actors struggle to find work so Michael having a small role on a huge network show is hardly the worst thing that could happen.

You guys both made good points.

I do hope they planned to use him. I mean Ruby and August at least had centrics

I think I feel this way that A&E screwed Michael over because we know they did this to Meghan. I don't know if you guys remember Meghan's "exit interview" but even though she said super nice things about A&E (she clearly wanted to keep that relationship open for work) she revealed A LOT in how she was treated on the show.

First I know from other articles they spoke to her during S1 filming before the show was renewed and told her they wanted to bring her on as a regular in S2 which convinced her not to look for other opportunities. Then they signed her on with the promise that she would be involved in the story. It wasn't until episode 14 or 15 where all this action was happening with the Cora story and she was the only regular completely uninvolved that she realized that something was up. She asked to take a meeting with them and that's when they admitted they really didn't have a story for her anymore. She had to ask them - they weren't even going to tell her voluntarily. By this time pilot season had pretty much ended. She asked for the rest of the season off and they agreed. It was actually by sheer luck that she was cast in that one pilot for CBS that was picked up as a series. The development of the pilot was running super late.

So yeah just knowing that A&E did that to Meghan, I wouldn't be surprised at all that they did it to Michael.

Personally I think A&E did have a plan to feature Will more in 4b. I think they might have been planning to bring on Emma Rigby to play Ana as one of the QoD. But then she got cast in that movie. They don't sound too enthusiastic about telling Will's story anymore so I think they have kind of given up. There will probably be a quick one episode wrap up.
