Heroes without the brothers would be like Prison Break or Brothers & Sisters without the brothers: i.e., a waste of time! Surely Claire's blood can save her own father, right?!

10/21 - Series creator Tim Kring says that the photograph of "The 12" glimpsed at last week holds many clues. "We will be seeing the people in the photo," he shares, "and I think all of the actors posed in the picture will be the same ones appearing on the show." Kring says that snapshot was no snap to create: "Logistically, it was difficult to come up with this photograph that is used now and refers to things that are filmed well into the future, but it is as accurate as we can make it." Wednesday morning, a location scout was driving around Los Angeles' Crenshaw District getting ready to bring the production to town. Apparently, filming will take place at Jack's Chili Factory either during the last week of October or the first week of November.
The scout was also trying to find an area large enough to be made into a "town hall" in Odessa (with the environs, one would assume he meant Texas, although this week's episode was sending HRG and The Haitian to the former Soviet republic) which would play host to a scene involving an evacuation because "the virus gets out," meaning that the threat that killed Dr. Mohinder Suresh's sister would come to the United States. They looked at Lula Washington Dance Theatre in particular for the appropriate amount of space needed.
Reportedly, actors Milo Ventimiglia (who plays Peter Petrelli) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Dr. Mohinder Suresh) will be in the work, which implies that Peter's time as an Irish mobster is limited.

KRING: We introduce the character, and she is looking for Peter Petrelli, and I think one can assume she finds him.

ANSWER: BELL: I can't reveal her power -- watch next Monday. It's a really cool power. She has ties to HRG and to Claire. There's going to be an interesting dynamic between her and Claire. As far as what is and what is not, I think there will be a deeper relationship there than people expect or maybe some parallels. She has a few ties to Suresh and is a little messed up in the head, which makes her really manipulative. She doesn't have many boundaries, which I think is the really interesting part of playing her. The whole first season was these fairly good natured people, embracing these new abilities, and trying to do what's right. Elle enjoys her power, and the emotional power it gives her.
KRING: One thing we will say is we are tying this character to this company we have talked about for the last year on the show that Claire's father was involved with. One of the ideas was this character was actually raised within the company and, in some ways, a cautionary tale of what would happen to any of the characters if they lived with the powers their whole life like Elle.
QUESTION: Matt has changed a little with his wife being gone ... will she be back?
ANSWER: KRING: We will see his wife again -- shortly. There is clearly a mystery as of now is what happened in these four months from season one to two. He went from a man whose wife was pregnant and expecting a baby, living in LA to a man in New York who is no longer with his wife. Something happened and we will find out about it.
QUESTION: How do you guard against the kind of fan frustration setting in with the complicated plot and lack of answers? When will your episodes in Canada begin?
ANSWER: KRING: We are not a show that tries not to keep answers from the audience. That being said there's a certain amount of fun with drawing things out. Our show morphs and changes all the time. One of the things we did this season was one volume Genesis that was 23 episodes long. By the end of the year we were dragging a tremendous amount of story that had to be paid off in the final episode, which made an episode with high expectations. This season we have multiple volumes: Generation, which is episode 1 -11, where every question raised will be answered in these 11 episodes. Then it slingshots us into another volume. People are frustrated and wanting answers, but usually, when they say they want answers, they enjoy the idea of following the mystery and watching it unfold.
We go to Canada a few episodes from now.
QUESTION: How long can we expect to see you on Heroes? Would you like it to be long term?
ANSWER: BELL: I would be up for long term. I think that this has been a great relationship so far. There was hesitancy with becoming a main part of the show from both ends. It's been a great relationship so far. So I'll keep my fingers crossed I won't get killed. Right now I'm signed on for 13 episodes at the discretion of how it fits into the major plotlines. At the end of the 13 we will have a powwow and see if it makes sense for me to continue.

Or have we discovered his powers may work more instinctually?
Peter has learned and will continue to learn that's it's more about his heart than his memory.

Eric Luong wrote in with three great questions, so we're using 'em all. Take it away Eric! "Isaac's paintings were a big driving force behind the plot in Season One. In my opinion, the revelation that there remain seven unfulfilled paintings (not including the one we've seen, of Kaito) was rather clever. Will the set of eight paintings be our only predictive glimpses into the future, or will Tim Sale be lending his talents to the hand of another hero this season?
The set of eight paintings could very well be the last art we ever see from Isaac. But take a close look at Peter's art style…
Is it just us or is there something sinister about West? He comes across as the type of kid you'd see following Magneto in an "X-Men" comic.

Our mysterious assailant seemed to be able to turn invisible, much like fan favorite character Claude. Claude had noted when meeting Peter that he had seen some others with his ability. Might our mystery villain indeed be someone Claude had trained before? Could Claude be the Obi-Wan archetype, having trained someone who eventually went bad?
When did our assailant turn invisible? Are you sure he didn't fly?
Noah said that Isaac's paintings always come true, but we know that at least one did not - the explosion in NYC. Does this mean events in the paintings only happen as long as Hiro doesn't mess with the time stream? Or is Isaac's precognitive ability now always right?

The Haitian spoke of God paying him back for what he had done by giving him this disease. As it has been hinted with Peter's memory loss and the Haitian's necklace, is what has happened with Peter in the last four months part of why the Haitian believed that?
Yes.
The comic book saying goes with great power comes great responsibility and that absolute power corrupts absolutely. With Peter's abilities being nigh limitless, will we begin seeing Peter deal with temptation of being able to do practically anything and get away with it?
It seems to be a place we'll have to get to eventually, isn't it?
(For those bibliophiles keeping score, we just saw late nineteenth century British historian Lord Acton and Spiderman's Uncle Ben quoted in the same sentence.)
Do you ever foresee a point with Peter's character that he will just have so many abilities that it will be hard to keep the character interesting or relatable? Does he present more challenges than other characters because of his abilities?
It's one of our biggest concerns, but the challenge has been fun, story wise.
And Milo has done such an amazing job in helping define his character, that we can always just tell stories from that angle. (And if we get into a corner, we can just dig up whatever the heck gave him that scar in the future)

We will learn more about Niki/Jessica's powers. Bob, who is part of the "original 12," can do more than turn things into gold. He is an integral part of The Company and his connections to everyone will soon be revealed. Before the end of the current volume, we will have seen all member of the original 12. Down the road, fans will learn what are Mr. Nakamura's powers (and yes, "are" is a key word here).
