Last year, we essentially had a season of Lemon being alone (proving that CW shows can allow characters to be single for more than an episode at a time), working on many of her issues, and had many wonderful stories that came out of her discovering her need to expect more of herself than just the approval of the people around her.
I know I'm coming to the conversation late, but for me, the best possible storyline for Wade would be for him to have a chance to work on his internal issues. 1. He is used to being alone -- but he's not used to be alone in a sexual sense so much as he is used to being alone in an emotional sense, where he relies on himself and frankly doesn't trust anyone to be there for him on a deep level. We know some of that is going to change because of his alliance with Lemon at the beginning of the season, where he's going to have to depend on her emotionally to salvage his wounded pride. So for me, that's a huge opportunity to begin an arc of growth for him. 2. He is used to people expecting him to fail. We don't know how well the Rammer Jammer will be doing when the season starts, but he's now a part of the business community, and I just know that Lemon won't let him go down that mental road anymore (just think of it as behavioral therapy, Lemon style) because the self-defeating prophecy angle would take her down with it. What we don't know is what will happen if/when he has to run the bar alone for awhile (because of JK's maternity leave), so seeing him grapple with old patterns when he's having to stand alone professionally should be a wonderful storyline for him. 3. He has been not only been deeply in love for the first time, but he is very likely going to be feeling abandoned, humiliated, as though his nose is being rubbed in his declaration of love, and jealous as all get out. Again, we know that Lemon will be there to help with some of this, but how he deals with it personally is a huge storyline for him, and we really have no idea how his internal processing of these feelings will proceed, so it's hard to predict how he will handle it externally, but the truth is that many of these emotions are probably the source of his deep-seated emotional issues already, simply because he probably felt abandoned when his mother died and his dad turned to drink, humiliated when his dad turned into the town drunk, and as though his nose was being rubbed in his love when his brother basically left him holding the bag. We also know that he's had issues of jealousy about George that weren't related to Zoe but simply came from the fact that he always assumed that George had an easier life than he did. Hopefully, now that George seems to be coming back to town a bit rougher around the edges, their friendship may give him a bit of a handle on his pre-existing jealousy issues as he sees that appearances aren't always the whole story. IOW, I see a lot of great stories they can do just about Wade working on his personal issues, especially now that his career path has changed so dramatically -- and those are the stories that would most excite me! |

Thanks. Sounds like it will be a family focused episode.

And here are the lyrics although I think the title is general. It is basically self explanatory.

Seems LG is sticking to her word when she said expanding Bluebell. No doubt we'll meet other residents and family members. Just please don't let it be Mrs.Tucker!!

I'll bet any money we'll be seeing Earl in this episode as well. __________________

I'm really looking forward to that episode. Earl could be back, maybe Granny is still here..
It would be great if the writers brought the other characters family members as well. Zoe should have more family in Alabama than her great aunt. Maybe George's brother, Lavon's parents, AB's family... |
