Agreed. They both came off as horribly unprofessional and childish throughout that entire episode.

These days though it's less about dealing with things apart, it's more about dealing with things together and staying together and strong despite having issues.

Intially yes. Although I could see them coming together. Maggie has the knowledge that Meredith is her sister. Meredith doesn't have that. Since they seem to presenting the idea Meredith saw the potential that her mother had a baby but she didn't ask questions, and eventually let it fall away. Like the suicide attempt. Which drove them to Boston, where Maggie would be born and given away...

Maggie knows something that might soften Meredith (although it could be opposite since Meredith will be presented with a very accomplish much younger sister), so Maggie shouldn't take it personally...

But it just ups the tension in Meredith's life, especially as she was dealing with Derek's possibility leaving and her staying, and now he is staying...

Lexie was more difficult because she came from Thatcher's line, and he was such a deadbeat dad that Meredith had severe issues with that... While they came together eventually. I could see it being slightly being more easier for Meredith because she will realize Maggie was put up for adoption. And also she likes Richard, but it's going to open up some new avenues once Meredith realizes that her mother and Richard had a child...

They should have. But since when has this show shied away from having arguments brew over patients. And especially since Maggie was trying to show her muscle as Cardio, and Meredith was dealing with Christina being gone, and trying to maneuver over and the patient was having so many issues that stopping to do the procedure wouldn't help...

I would much rather if Maggie and Meredith got along and then her being Ellis and Richard love child revealed, but the issue arises when Meredith feel as if Richard pays more attention to his blood kid ,..
of course the writers are lazy

It's slightly different being it's Ellis and Richard, and Meredith loves Richard. They might in the end get a long. But right now Maggie is the new kid. Younger, so she has to flex her muscle to get her wishes and she's not Christina, and that is what Meredith is used to in Cardio. Time will tell how it fleshes out.

It does open some storyline possibilities when the truth is revealed.
