I dont think I like where they are going with the pairings next year. It seems like they are introducing NS and DV. Im going to puke if I have to watch DV on my screen

It's totally possible, I think, that Josh and Co saying "we're going to have new couples" could literally just mean one new couple. Plus that interview was probably conducted before episode 15 aired, so even NV could be considered one of the new couples that will carry over to season 2. I don't think they're going to break everyone up. Either D or S will have a new person at the beginning of season 2 probably, I think NV will still be together (or I hope, like a loser), and CB will either be starting up again or she will come back with Ben.

But, considering he was cast through sides, it's way more likely that if one of the two of them is with someone new, Chuck is with Amelia.

Plus, Josh is crazy about message boards. I don't think he has ever encountered a massive clamor for DV. Plus, Jessica was only originally asked to be on a couple of episodes, so I don't think DV was originally intended to be more than a bump (and it's not like they got a wild reaction to make it more). While it is very likely that NS will be revisited, due to importance in the storyline and a certain fan desire, I doubt they'll make us sit through DV for too long.

I hope you are right. And I like enjoying characters and I liked V and N together. She became less snarky and nate seemed to have a little life in him.

anyways I was wondering....is it possible for them to bring in Lord Marcus a.k.a blair's "hotter, british version of Nate" ex-boyfriend???

ROFL, they might bring in Lord Marcus, but I feel like Blair and Nate would have to be almost pretty important in later storylines for that to happen. We'll see...

who is lord marcus...I'm not really that familiar with the books only read the first 2.

I know. Despite the lack of N/S for a good majority of the season, there are fans still clamouring for them and that is from having been on numerous GG boards. Maybe it's the inbuilt fanbase from the books, which N/B also have that keeps fans and writers coming back to those storylines.

Also on the subject of potential couples, I thought Josh said Carter would come back. Cause there's been absolutely no news on that, maybe Sebastian Stan is busy with other stuff (I saw he was currently scheduled for two other projects).

but I think gg is weird in that the online fandom represents a very small % of the actual fans out there...but there is a built-in bookfan base...but if they wanted to pursue that maybe they should have reconsidered the way they presented ns visually!

In the New York Magazine article, they said Sebastian Stan would probably be moving in with Ed and Chace soon. That's a sign to me that he's coming back, at least next season.

Haha, Nnenna, I'm afraid some do. And you're right, Shu. The SN sex scene intercut with Chuck raping and Blair crying is not the most positive way to show NS. It's worse than NB constantly being intercut by Serena or Chuck looming in the camera frame, although both things lead me to believe neither couple is endgame.

Whose Sebastian Stan Anita? haha very true Tatiana, terrible way to show NS, which is why I never shipped them, along with the lackluster on screen chemistry
