Hee, yeah I'm all for couple swapping until we get established couples and then it just feels strange to keep changing them around. And I wonder how all the new couples will get there realistically.

Heh, I'm not a die hard DB at all, CB are far and away my faves, but its just out of all the couples that haven't been explored, they're basically the only one I'd like to see.

yeah but that is exactly the point with the couples we ahve now they have barely been explored so since in season2 they will be in their last year it wouldn't male much sense to throw in a completly new couple instead if dealing with the ones that already exist!So I can't see a DB relationship happening anytime soon!
They would ahve to become friends first.

I agree also because there are triangles that never got a closure and were simply ignored.

part of me wants to see DB out of spite cause if I have to endure NS please josh give us some DB to contain the puke factor...cause D is awesome and so is B..atleast they'd be entertaining.

So wait NS is confirmed? Why are we discussing NS? I dont even know how that couple would work. Even though I KNOW they;ll happen at some point. The way I see it, its kinda weird. Does anyone ever see Blair being OKAY with this at all. I dont see this, I think even if she moves on a small part of her will have f eelings for Nate and its never going to be okay. Plus the fact that NS cheated on her isnt going to make her happy or accepting of their relationship. Tbh I see him having to pull an OTH like he did with Brooke/Peyton and Serena goes after him despite the blessings, F-ing up their friendship

who cares about Blair that relationship is a disaster for Serena...if one thing is guaranteed to lead to her self-destructing again its her hooking up with Nate. It will ruin her relationship with Blair, make her feel like pondscum....oh wait I forgot Serena sucks so she deserves to be treated like ass and feel like she's worthless! NS is not confirmed but the posts on this thread is acting like it is..

At least DB would be enjoyable because both Penn and Leighton have great chemistry...watching ns in the pilot was like watching a bad porno!

its not you guys...its just a culmination of the attitude towards this character since episode 1...this thread can really skew a persons perspective.

one thing i dont get is why CTV did those interview when they dont even show the new episodes. i still dont know what they are waiting for but it does bug me cause i dont have the cw on my tv so i'm just waiting for CTV to wake up!

Also can we say that Blair got her title of Queen Bee back?

even then it would be horrible for her. Serena just as much as blair deserves to be treated well and to feel good about herself and I don't think Nate can do that AT ALL! They would have to change him a lot before that could happen and even then I see it as pretty distasterous...but I've seen many shows were they hookup a main female with a pathetic man and it forever taints that character imo...it prevents growth and that should be the ultimate goal (besides ratings) and there isn't much evidence so far that NS would garner a whole lot of ratings more like a whole lot of distaste whether you're a Serena fan or a Blair fan.

I'm not a Nate/Serena shipper, but I never got the feeling that it was Nate as such that brought out the self-destructiveness, rather the feelings being with him while he was Blair's boyfriend brought out in her - guilt, pain at having betrayed her best friend, self-hate. It all led to an even worse behaviour than she was capable of, which is what I think the spoilers have been hinting at, that is the aftermath of the N/S sex leading to the debacle with Georgina and whatever happened there.

Anyway, I would rather see them go back to being the friends they were before anything romantic happens, if it ever does. And I think it would be great to see her single for awhile if she's no longer with Dan.

Yeah I agree, I actually like both Blair and Serena and see that this isnt a great pairing for either girls, it doesnt get ratings at all! I definately agree it would be disasterous for Serena in terms of the life it would regress her back too. Its even bad for Nate, I mean it would be kinda hypocritical for him to go back to Serena when he blasted Blair for doing the same thing with Chuck. Its a pairing they'll explore but I dont think it'll last long because no one would enjoy it at all.

The way they edited that scene and her subsequent behavior towards him doesn't pain them in a good light...and lets be honest its not like nate is stellar bf material. In my opinion, he hasn't been written as capable of bringing out the best in her. Like I said, they'd have to do a lot of convincing before its something this character would buy as something good for Serena...if anything it would be backward progression.
