I agree on the attractive point, I find Chace gorgeous, Ed doesn't do anything for me, probably because British charm does absolutely nothing on me and I have plenty of British friends, and Ed is a pretty standard British guy, so.. seen lots of them before. That said, he certainly is an attractive guy, just not my type.

Chace on the other hand is really gorgeous to me... and since I am definitely for Nate and Serena as I find them a lot more interesting and appealing than Dan/Serena or Nate/Blair, I'm gonna be one happy camper in season 2. Well this plus the fact there will be Lily/Rufus story building up too, so good. Nate Blair to me was a relationship meant to show both of them how the idea of a relationship doesn't necessarily match the reality of it. Loving the idea of the perfect couple doesn't mean you are one in reality.

And wait a minute.. I called the Catherine may be Marcus's mother one weeks ago when Kristin released that spoiler about Catherine having a surprising connection to some new character... and now it comes out it's true? :O Wow, my Sherlock instincts are getting better

I will try and get you guys a link for the updated Clare side so you can read about Vanessa going into the elevator and telling Nate "I'm done. For good", and Catherine handing him the key to a hotel room, as well as Jenny and Eleanor working late and Eleanor finally noticing how good Jenny is with her job (after firing her apparently in a moment of heat? LOL)... that Jenny thing may become reeeally interesting in the whole Jenny/Blair dynamic. And well, this Clare being Rufus's date.. though of course with Lily in the picture, she will just be another one of the girls who have an expiration date... LOL

Having B lose her virginity to C was such a ballsy move in and of itself, especially making it a parallel in the sense that it was B's first time having sex, but it was C's first time falling in love. That fact alone makes them my OTP, lol.

Actually I just find all Nate's relationships weird. At the beginning of the season he loooves Serena, then in the middle of the season he can't stop thinking about Blair, and in the end he hooks up with Vanessa for like 3 episodes. Now that's a man with relationship problems.

Which is why I think Nate would be best served ending up alone at the end of the series, unless they find him one girl to stick with throughout all of season 2. But given that he's screwing Catherine and kissing Serena in 2.01, then getting redumped by Vanessa in 2.03, it looks like he's still heading down to nowhere.

And for B it was a real first step into reality. She loved N and her perfect fairytale love, but sex was something concrete and more adult. (The same N with S).

their one night stand was sordid and unpleasant, it was fuelled with lust and drunkeness- followed by lies and death.

i really can't stand NS tbh. (apart from as friends, or casual flirting)

I agree about their one-night stand, which is why they need to build them up right if they plan on touching NS as more than friends.

NS will have a very slow build up, since for a while N will have sex with Milf, then I don't think he will jump in another relationship so soon.
I see them together in the second part of the season

I think Josh has made it very clear that Nate loves Serena, and I also think that's been clear throughout. Trying to make things work with Blair had nothing to do with the fact he still had those feelings for Serena, and even Blair herself made it clear to Vanessa at the wedding how Nate never really got over Serena. Nate has a family situation that is disastrous, and despite his feelings with Serena, his relationship with Blair was the only stable thing he had and the only thing his family really backed him on, so at one point he was so desperate and in need of a stable point in his life that he tried to make it work. Doesn't change his underlying feelings for Serena. As Josh made clear more than once, he loves her.

And the MILF? That's a rite of passage, a lot of young men go through that, so good for Nate! He certainly isn't supposed to stay there and wait while others make up their mind. I actually find him the only male teen on the show who behaves NORMALLY when girls are concerned. Teens aren't exacly stable as Dan or crazy as Chuck when girls are concerned.

Nate is the one who yes, messed up and then was hurt because he loved Serena and obviously couldn't have her, had his girlfriend with all the problems related to it, just like the average teen... and then wised up and called things off. The feelings for the first girl remained, but she was with someone else, so what was he supposed to do, wait around? He found someone who was there at the time when he desperately needed a girl and a friend, and hooked up with Vanessa. That wasn't meant to last of course, so what.. relationships start and end all the time even when one is an adult, and it is even more so when one is a teen.

Anyways I digress. I think the Vanessa stuff may be related to either a summer fling between them (since Dan and Serena are on and off faster than they can say "honey", I don't see why the same couldn't happen to Nate) or something else, like Vanessa helping him with Catherine or something. The side says Nate looks confused.. I don't think he would be if things there were clear, so obviously the situation must have some implication we're not aware of. Not sure what it is, but still, there's something going on there.

Exactly! I f they don't give Nate time to recover from the V/MILF fiasco and S is still diddling around with Dan when NS hookup, then they are definitely not endgame. But if they have a season long build up, then there's a chance they are for reals.
