but I am curious about one thing:

Why did Rory tell Lorelai "It is better he does not know" in the promo?
Maybe when Lorelai goes to comfort Chris, He tries to kiss her?
that is the only thing that makes sense to me for Rory tell her NOT to tell Luke.

Any thoughts?

ITA they won't break up, and I've been saying they won't ever since WITS aired. I thought (and posted on one of the boards) that the whole "I'll close Lukes and move far far away" was a red herring. Of course, if you add to that how many times I'm wrong - you've got about a 50/50 chance ... LOL.

I've thought of that too.

It works with my theory that one of the reasons Emily takes him up on the wedding invite is because He made a pass that Lorelai refused but not harshly because she felt bad about his father's death (still with that assumption).

But what would make her tell Rory if Christopher tried to kiss her?

I have to agree that I don't think Luke and Lorelai are going to break up. That whole scenerio has been done before and it's not like AS-P to go the route of routine. She will do something completely different. Something we are not expecting in a way. I personally think that now that L/L are together they are together until death do us part. I just don't think AS-P would tease us like that. To wait 4 years to get them together after much begging of the fans just to break them up again. It just doesn't seem like something she would do. Plus, as it's been stated before in this forum, she told us to invest in Luke and Lorelai. That seems like they are in it for the long haul.

In the back of my mind I've always thought that Chris would return and try to "win" Lorelai back. However, I'm not so sure that is the case. Chris just being back in the picture causes jealousy. We saw that already from Luke. But he got over it and things were OK from there. I know he comes to the wedding, but I wonder if he comes to tell Emily she was wrong to do what she did. Maybe to tell her that all he wants is Lorelai's happiness and if Luke makes Lorelai happy then everyone should back her on that and be proud of the fact that Lorelai has truly found her soulmate. To tell Emily that Lorelai doesn't need to be part of her world for her to be happy for her daughter. I can see Chris trying to play the good guy, but having Luke explode prematurely at him. That would make for some great drama. And then in the end Lorelai gets upset with Emily because she caused so much suffering that didn't need to happen.

As for Rory - I can see her saying something to her grandmother (or grandparents) about how it is wrong for them to sabatoge the wonderful thing...person...Lorelai has in her life. If Rory was to tell Emily how great of a guy Luke is and how he is the one who was always there for her over the years (graduation, break-ups, SATS, going to college, there for her mother), and not her father, Emily might respect Lorelai's choice of Luke over Chris. It may make her realize that Chris isn't going to finish the picture perfect family Emily wants for Lorelai. It may make her realize that Luke is that person. He is the one who has, over all the years, made her daughter and granddaughter happy. Now all of this is a long shot and probably won't happen, but somehow I could see it happening. I just think that if for once in Lorelai's life Emily was truly happy for her than the relationship between Lorelai and Emily would be so much better. If Emily could for 2 minutes get off of her high horse, look her daughter in the eyes, and see how happy she is with this man in her life, she just might feel OK with how her daughter has led her life. And I'd like this show to end with Emily and Lorelai on better terms than when we first saw what their relationship was.

Anyway, that's just my .02! Hope it wasn't too much babbling.

And on an OT subject: I just want to say I really appreciate everyone who over the months that I've been here have supplied the thread with spoilers etc. I am always grateful to get a sneak peek at upcoming episodes. I would never beg or feel rejected if we didn't receive this information. I know that the "spoiled" share what they have a available to them and what they are actually allowed to share. And I appreciate everything you allow us to have. So to you all - thank you for all your hard work and efforts and information regarding Gilmore Girls.

And to those who are in charge of setting up the new threads on a day to day basis - I truly appreciate your work as well. Without this thread I wouldn't have a place to share my few thoughts or have the chance to read the amazing specs and thoughts of others. This is a great luxury that we all have and I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this thread a happy place for all.

My apologies for going off topic:

I just wanted to apologise publicly to those of you who have been kind enough to read and review the newest part of my fic More. I am absolutely unable to get ff.net to fix the formatting and other bugaboos. Frustrated to tears over this. But there it is. So sorry for the multiple posts and the probs as well.

Thanks Gen again for posting links for my stuff... feel weird doing it for myself. Don't know why. Wimpy, I suppose. And Jet for your kind post too and, just all the rest of you as well! I've really enjoyed being here to read what smart people have to say.

But I've had it with writing! Bah! Stupid ff.net! Gonna go read the great stuff written by many people here now and, quite possibly, drink while doing so.

oohh, I've never tried the drinking while reading fics. Of course, I can't drink in this house. netherfield, never the less.. I found the chapter the best yet .. I even love the name swapping.

Oh, spoilers. I too, don't believe L/L will break up. They've already done their break ups. They've been in this relationship for so long and didn't even know it. They have already fought, haven't spoken to each other for a time being, made up.. They actually already did and past through their tough times in their relationship. Of course they will have some bumps, though I firmly believe they can make it through with minimal scrapes.

The TV Guide channel had a behind the scenes look at the Gilmore Girls 100th episode at approx 7:30 this evening. It was a short feature and previewed very briefly the scene in Emily's bedroom and Lorelai and Rory looking at some fancy dresses. Did anyone else see it?

I happened to catch it but my husband was talking, darn it, and I couldnt give it my full attention. It was basically everything we already know-Alexis said the grandparents were renewing their vows and it was a good oppurtunity for everyone to get together. Lauren talked about Lorelai dating Luke and how she is always in just a flannel so she doesnt know if that is a good thing.(She was kidding around) They showed lots of quick clips from this season with Luke/Lorelai and then showed Christopher and mentioned how he might attempt to interfere with the relationship or words to that effect.Lauren was very cute because she did say Luke/Christopher would fight over her at the wedding and no one has ever done that for her before-so she(Lauren) liked it.

Sunbird - A "red herring" is a false clue. Sort of like pointing the audience in the wrong direction - on purpose!

At least, that's what I think it means.

* Kay * -the scene they showed was very brief-it was not the longing dress look-I wish! -it was just Emily holding an elegant white gown/dress (hers I believe) as the girls looked on. She was saying something about Richard knowing elegant jewelry in a very pleased Emily type way.

I cant wait to see the 100th episode either! gilmoregal I really hope someone else saw it also and can add more . It happened so quickly and I was shocked. I only wished I would have seen Luke in a suit or at least giving Christopher a look to kill. Lauren was adorable as usual though and very cute.
