5.11: Women Of Questionable Morals
airdate: 25 Jan 2005

From Jet1945

Info taken from Sides in the Shooting Script 11/9/04

The information summarized below is taken from the 7 Sides published on 11/9/04 for Professor Stanton, Girls #4 and #1, Tara, Bobby, Craig, A Scout. I will include context and stage descriptions where appropriate.

Dialog and Stage Direction have been significantly blacked out through out all of the Sides.
  • Characters:
Prof. Stanton - Yale Professor - Subject unknown
Girls #4 and #1 - Young women, approx. Lulu's age
Bobby - Young Boy of Stars Hollow
Tara - Young Girls of Stars Hollow
Craig - Young Boy of Stars Hollow
Scout - Man - Revolutionary War Scout

Note: The children, Bobby, Tara, and Craig range in age from 10 to 14 years old. We do not know their individual ages.

Editor Note: A fragment of Scene 10 starts at the top of page 30. The dialog is blacked out. But, Emily's name can be made out. Who she is talking to is unknown.

Interior - Yale Classroom/Hallway/Exterior Yale Courtyard - Later That Day - Day (Day 2) - Scene 11 -

Professor Stanton is lecturing about David Hume. He is remarking about how Hume desired a society not ruled by fear or superstition and that Hume venerated tolerance. Stanton says that Hume is a personal favorite of his and not that he was Scottish and that Stanton's mother's maiden name was MacCammon.

Stage Direction: Rory and others in the class chuckle.

Professor Stanton closes his lecture with telling them that the next lecture will be on the "Principles of Moral" and perhaps why Scots rule. He tells them to "read, read."

Editor Note: We have some Stage Direction, but part of it is blacked out.

Stage Direction: Rory and the others grab the stuff and head out. We follow her down the hall - blacked out information - sees Christopher up ahead, sitting - more blacked out info to the end of the direction.

End of Side for Professor Stanton

Editor Note: What follows is 1/3 of a page of dialog between Rory and Christopher.

Rory says to Christopher, "Still here." Christopher's response cannot be made out. Rory answers to Christopher, "Nope", and the rest is cannot be made out. Scene 11 continues but the script page ends here.

Interior Location Unknown - Time Unknown - Continuous - Day (Day Unknown) - Scene 13 -

Kirk is telling Taylor that Lulu is as insensitive as they come. Taylor tells Kirk that is fine and that they only have a little time and must choose the right girl quickly. Taylor turns to a group of girls and tells them to stand up.

Stage Direction: The girls stand in a line in front of Taylor and Miss Patty. Taylor studies them. Kirk looks on nervously.

Taylor continues with saying that based on the visual that they are looking for, he must eliminate numbers two, five, seven and he hesitates, 9. He thanks them all for coming.

Stage Direction: The appropriate girls look disappointed and leave. Kirk breathes a sigh of relief that Lulu made the cut. He shoots her a thumbs up. She thumbs ups him back.

There is some Taylor dialog blacked out, but most of it can be read. Taylor now tells the remaining girls that he must see a demonstration of their acting abilities. He says, "Please show me your best come hither look."

Stage Direction: The girls do their best to show their come hither looks. They don't do it very well. Some smile, some try to look serious and sexy, but none of them look very fetching.

Taylor asks again. "Your come hither look, ladies?"

Girl #4 says that that was her come hither look. Taylor excuses Girl #1. Girl #1 says, "Rats."

Stage Direction: Kirk silently celebrates as Girl Number One starts to go. Taylor opens the door for the girl to leave. The balance (one line) of the dialog is blacked out.

End of Sides for Girl #4 and Girl #1

Editor Note: The next series of Sides are for the children, Bobby, Tara, and Craig. The Sides has been cut and pasted together, but most of the complete Scene 26 can be put together.

It is also apparent from these Sides that what Taylor and Miss Patty were doing in Scene 11 was trying to choose a girl to play a "Woman whose livelihood defied laws of morality but acted in a fashion in which God would forgive her."

Exterior Stars Hollow - Continuous - Day (Day 4) - Scene 26 -

Stage Direction: Lorelai and Rory come out of Luke's as the re-enactment is about to start. About twenty or so townspeople have gathered in the cold to bear witness. Several newspeople are gathered together to record the event. They include a couple photographers, a couple reporters, and a video camerman. Reverend Skinner stands with three local school kids, ages 10 - 14, who are each holding large faux history books. Their names are Bobby, Tara, and Craig. The re-enactors -- Andrew, Sy, (rest of the names blacked out). Bobby, tara, and Craig step forward, opening the faux history books. Bobby is giggling to himself.

Reverend Skinner tells Bobby not to get the giggles.

Stage Direction: Bobby stops giggling and composes himself. As the narrate, they all read from their history books.

Bobby starts with, "The year..." and they all chime in "Seventeen seventy-nine!" Bobby continues, "The location..." and again all, "Stars Hollow!"

Lorelai mockingly tells Rory that Children should shoot us for what we make them do. Rory, "Ssh!"

Bobby describes how during the War for Independence and important turning point was reached when the brave Town Militia learned that a powerful British general was riding through the area to rejoin his troops and wage a decisive battle. An that it inspired an idea.

Rory talking to Lorelai asks, "Wouldn't they have had horses?" Lorelai has some sort or mocking answer but it is blacked out - the word coconut looks like it is used.

Stage Direction: The re-enactors disappear around the corner.

The children recite together: "Brave our soldiers are!"

Lorelai tell Rory that while looking at Tara, "You so would have been that little chick." Rory - "Yeah...."

Stage Direction: The Reverend spots the re-enactors peeking around the corner destroying the illusion that they are off blocking the high road. He waves for them to disappear and they clumsily do that.

Stage Direction: Bobby steps back and Tara steps forward. She reads from her history book.

Tara tells the story chapter about how the Militia went off to block the high road. The British general had no choice bit to take the only passable road on this snowy day - The road through Stars Hollow.

Stage Direction: Tara steps back and Craig steps up.

Craig tells of a Scout that arrived to warn of the general's coming.

Stage Direction: A re-enactor on horseback come galloping down the street toward the crowd.

The Scout is hollering, "The British General is coming! The British General is Coming!"

Lorelai mockingly says: "It's so expositional." Rory remarks: "I guess Tony Kushner wasn't available."

The Children all chime together reading, "And then the General arrived!"

Stage Direction: Taylor comes in riding slowly, looking very proud of himself in his fancy British General uniform.

Taylor in a British accent: "It certainly is unfortunate that the high road was blocked this day, forcing me to ride though town."

Lorelai snarks about this - most is blacked out. Rory remarks that Taylor looks like Dick van Dyke from "Mary Poppins."

Craig now tells all about a brave women who put herself in harm's way and emerged to distract the general. Craig describes her as: "This simple, common, woman whose livelihood defied laws of morality but acted in a fashion in which God would forgive her led the British General into the warmth of her Boudoir. She saved Stars Hollow!"

Stage Direction: Kirk takes Taylor by the arm and leads him back into the house he came out of. Kirk gets back ino the part, gesturing with his hands for Taylor to come in. The minister starts giggling. Bobby notices.

Bobby sternly calls out, "Reverend."

Reverend Skinner stops giggling and says, "Sorry."

Craig continues with telling how the British general was kept occupied long enough for Lafayette's troops to ambush his men, a decisive victory for the colonists.

The children conclude the story by reciting together, "Thanks to the Stars Hollow Militia, (they get out of synch and peter out),...The 'woman whose livlihood defied laws of morality but acted in a fashion in which God would forgive her'."

Editor Note: I don't know how - but it is evident that none of the girls were selected to play the prostitute, but Kirk was????

End of Sides for Bobby, Tara, Craig, and the Scout.

Editor Note: This scene ends on page 67 of a normally 70 - 80 page script. There was no evidence in any of the Sides about who may have died. The dialog amongst the main characters did not have any hint of sadness or grief. In this last re-enactment scene Lorelai's and Rory's dialog was primarily mocking the scene and the re-enactment.

--Someone dies off-screen in ep. 11.
It is not a main character (one who appears in the opening credits or has appeared in the opening credits)
It's a human.
It is someone we have seen at least once.
This person has had scenes with Lorelai and Rory.
It's not a "funny" death. And it could really have an effect on the rest of the season (depending on how future episodes go).
They haven't been on this season.
It isn't Mia and it isn't Sherry.

Rory tells Paris to move her butt. Paris says in a minute. Rory ask her what she is looking at.

Stage Direction: Rory looks over to what Paris is fixated on.

Stage Direction: Angle on Doyle and Mitchum Huntzberger. Doyle is showing Mitchum Huntzberger around the newsroom. Mitchum Huntzberger is a man in his early fifties, very Phil Bronstein in appearance and demeanor. Doyle seems about to drop dead from panic.

Doyle is telling Mitchum Huntzberger that they moved the desk placement around this year to have a more open "Washington Post" feel. Mitchum says he likes it, likes it very much.

Stage Direction: Angle on Rory and Paris.

Rory asks Paris, "Who's that?" Paris tells her, "Mitchum Huntzberger." Rory is now suddenly interested. She asks, "Logan's dad?" Paris tells her yes and Rory continues asking what is he doing here?

Paris tells Rory that apparently he comes by every now and then to make sure all the plaques with his name on them are being shined properly.

Stage Direction: Angle on Doyle and Mitchum.

Doyle tells Mitchum that all the computers are new. Mitchum says they look the same. Doyle assures him that the screens are bigger, at least an inch or half an inch larger. He panics a bit and asks for a ruler.

Mitchum tells Doyle, "Here."

Stage Direction: Mitchum pulls a tape measure out of his pocket. He measures a computer screen.

Mitchum remarks, "Eighteen inches."

Stage Direction: Mitchum snaps the tape measure closed.

Mitchum tells Doyle, "No, I bought a pool table on the way over here. had to make sure it would fit."

Stage Direction: Mitchum pats Doyle on the back. Doyle laughs nervously.

Stage Direction: Angle on Rory and Paris.

Rory tells Paris that Doyle looks a little green. Paris rants a bit saying that that is good. Doyle had no color in his face at all when he first heard Huntzberger was coming. He actually stopped breathing for 10 minutes. Paris thought her was clinically dead for two minutes.

Stage Direction: Angle on Doyle and Mitchum.

Mitchum tells Doyle that he a is running a tight ship here. Doyle says that "Real news is what makes the world go 'round."

Mitchum says. "Don't tell that to Fox."

Doyle says he wants to introduce a couple of our top reporters. He introduces ROry and Paris to Mitchum.

Paris starts on a soliloquy about how nice it is to meet him. She has admired his work, but that he definitely has his moments. Paris tells him that he completely blew it with the Fallujah takeover, but that he semi-redeemed himself with the Arlen Specter witch hunt coverage and that she did chuckle at how many times over the last month he referred to Blair as Bush's poodle.

Doyle jumps in by introducing Rory. She is over there and asks her to says something.

Paris says to Doyle, "What?, I was nice. That was nice."

Rory says that it is nice to meet you, Mr Huntzberger. Mitchum tells her to call him Mitchum, that Mr. Huntzberger was his father.

Rory asks him what bring him to town. Mitchum tell her that he has a son who goes to this establishment, or at least that is the rumor. He stopped by to see him on the way to New Youk where he is throwing a party for Seymour Hersh on Friday.

Rory perks up and asks Seymour Hersh? She says that she has read every book, article and Chain of Command, twice. That it made her stomach hurt for a month. She says "I love him."

Mitchum tell Doyle that he has an admirer of Hersh here and that he expect her to give him a lot of trouble.

Rory continues babbling with saying that she read "My Lai 4" when she was 15 and has been obsessed with him ever since. She says she's sorry she is gushing and she's done. Rory asks how long has Mitchum known him.

Mitchum tells her that they have been friends for years and to trust him. If you love the writing, you'd love the man. Rory tells him that's nice.

Mitchum says that he will tell him that he has a charming young admirer. That he won't tell him where or who and it will drive him insane and he won't speak to me for a month. He says that is how they have remained friends so long.

Stage Direction: Mitchum walks Doyle away from the girls.

Mitchum shifts attention to Doyle saying that it has been some time since he has seen Logan's byline in "The Daily News." Doyle mumbles a bit.

Mitchum asks Doyle if he know what Mitchum's business is. Doyle assures him he does. Mitchum continues and asks,"What's my business Doyle?"

Doyle tell him, "Newspapers."

Mitchum tells him that is correct and that someday he would like to hans his business over to his son. That he actually need him to know something about it.

Doyle - "Sure. That would be helpful."

Mitchum tells Doyle that this is where he comes in. That part of being a great editor is knowing how to bring out the best in reporters. How to motivate them, encourage them, discipline them. Mitchum says that Logan is young and distracted and that he really need Doyle's help to focus.

Doyle says that he will do anything he can. Mitchum tells Doyle he would consider it a personal favor and that he won't forget.

Stage Direction: He parts Doyle on the back.

Mitchum - "Terrific. Paris, Rory, it's been a delight. Doyle, thanks for the tour."

Stage Direction: Mitchum heads out.

Reese remarks he wishes he had a secretary like Laurie.

They continue to talk about this case saying that the client won't ever settle. Richard says he would if they sent Laurie in there with her shoe. Anson tells Richard that the client has already gotten his lawyers working on it. Richard says that they will need to bring in outside council(sic) for this and that it is going to be messy. He asks who's available.

The three of them discuss the merits of various different attorneys. One of them brings up a name, the others citing why not. Finally, Richard brings up the name - Simon Maclaine.

Anson and Reese stumble around and tell Richard that he doesn't really want this one. Richard asks why not, that he has always done top notch work for them in the past. He emphasizes that Simon is aggressive, not sloppy, and very creative.

Anson and Reese finally bite the bullet and tell Richard that they assumed that Richard wouldn't want to work closely with Simon anymore since the whole thing with him and Emily.

Editor Note: AvidTVFan and her Roommate Jae Hung have gracious provided a translation of the previous Korean Phrase: "Shame on you. You're a sketchy kid. You have the devil in your mind." Stage Direction: The Korean man and woman move on.

Interior - Kim's Antiques - Night (Night 4) - Scene 18 -

Stage Direction: We pan down a long row of tables where Mrs. Kim and her guests are eating dinner. Our group is not with them. We reveal that they are at a separate kids' table. Lane, Zack, Brian, and Gil sit at it. Their table is set up near the end of the main table. Kyon and a Little Korean Boy sit at the end of the main table, so they are near our group. brian and Gill seem content enough, as they eat. Zack looks even worse than before, and Lane is not having any fun. Zack and Lane are barely picking at their food.

Gil remarks that these are good eats - slimy. Brian also says that he is enjoying it.

Gill says that he likes slimy food because it slides down easy, and he gets the sense that it keeps sliding and helps the colon and stuff. Because it scrapes as it slides and since it is not in you long, you don't get fat.

Zack is a bit exasperated and tells Gil to just eat. Lane asks Zack if he is not hungry. Zack tell her that slimy food doesn't float his boat like it does the other. He excuses himself say he has to go to the bathroom.

Stage Direction: Zack stands.

A little Korean Boy tells Zack that he is not allowed to leave the table. Zack tells him the nature's calling. the little Korean Boy yell forcefully at Zack that nature must wait.

Stage Direction: Guest turn to look.

Zack asks the little Korean Boy to keep it down. The Little Korean Boy tells Zack, "Sit till we're done!"

Stage Direction: Intimidated, Zack its back down.

Zack asks Lane that he beat the crap out of the little kid, will anyone care? Lane tells him that Mama Kim locks the bathroom door while we eat anyway. Zack, "Super."

Stage Direction: Mrs. Kim stands and addresses the group.

Mrs. Kim tell them they are all done eating. There will be a 30 minute break until dessert and that Mrs. Shin and her fellow musicians will play for them. Mrs. Kim tell Mrs. Shim that they has better start setting up.

Stage Direction: Mrs. shin, a small Korean woman, grabs a geomungo and heads to the other room.

Gil exclaims, "Look at the funky guitar. Awesome!"

Brian tells Gil that it is a geomungo and if he wasn't mistaken, he spotted a chi and janggu on the way in, also.

Gil says that he has to go check this out. He asks the Little Korean Boy if it is OK to get up. The Kid tells him yes.

Zack in a snide manner, "Yeah, he can get up."

Stage Direction: Gill wanders off into the next room. Kyon has overheard Brian and is much impressed by him.

Kyon talking to Brain says that he has much knowledge of the Korean Culture. Brian thanks her. Kyon says that was way forward of her and she should retire to her room and sleep.

Brian reassures her that it was OK and she doesn't have to do that.

Stage Direction: Brian smile at her. Kyon, in a shy way smiles back. Zack looks around and spots Mrs. Kim staring daggers at him. he looks another direction and there's the intense Little Korean Boy, staring daggers at him. he sighs, miserable.

End of Scene 18

End of Side for Little Korean Boy.

Editor Note: There is a scene fragment for the scene 19 on the script page. It is a scene between Rory and Logan.

Interior Pub - Night (Night 4) - Scene 19 -

Stage Direction: Rory and Logan are sitting at a table. A cappuccino in front of Rory. Logan's got a Black and Tan in front of him. They are close, cozy and seem to be having a good time.

Rory says to Logan, "I can't believe you've never seen 'The Office'."

Logan tell her he feels very stupid.

From Jet1945

Info taken from Sides in the Shooting Script 12/5/04

The information summarized below is taken from the 7 Sides published on 12/5/04 for a Judge, A Portly Gentleman, Susan, Bill, a Band Leader, a Woman, and the Photographer.

I will include context and stage descriptions where appropriate.

There is a lot of Dialog and Stage Direction blacked out in these Sides.
  • Characters:
    Judge - Older man
Portly Gentleman - Older Portly man
Susan - Woman, near Lorelai's age
    Bill - Man - near Lorelai's age
    Band Leader - man
    Woman - Woman (gossip?)
    Photographer - Man

Assumed Interior Location Unknown - Day - (Day Unknown) - Scene 17 -

Editor Note: Scene is picked up in progress.

Stage Direction: Angle on Emily. Emily now approaches the platform. Richard steps forward and offers Emily his arm. He walks her up to the Judge. The string quartet finishes their song.

The Judge asks everyone to be seated.

Stage Direction: The guests sit

The Judge begins his remarks describing how he has known Emily and Richard Gilmore for 20 years. He has known them to be two of the most formidable opponents the world has ever seen. They compliment each other. They defend each other. In a word, they were made for each other.

Stage Direction: Rory glances back over her shoulder to look at Logan again.

Editor Note: There is extensive Stage Direction that is blacked out here. It appears from what can be made out to involve Rory and Logan in some manner.

A Working Assumption: From other Spoiler sources, it is known that Logan has a Girl Companion with him at some point during the episode. It is possible that Logan has attended the Wedding with that Girl companion.

Stage Direction: Angle on Rory. Rory turns back. Her face falls.

The Judge is continuing telling everyone that today, in front of friends, Richard and Emily have chosen again to say to each other, "I choose you." The Judge continues asking, "How many of us in a lifetime get chosen, even once, for something we really want."

Stage Direction: Angle on Luke. He is still transfixed, staring at Lorelai. Marilyn leans in and whispers to him. In the back of the room a man comes in. He quietly walks forward and takes a seat in the back of the room. It's Christopher. No one notices.

The Judge ask Richard and Emily to face each other.

Stage Direction: Richard and Emily turn to each other.

The Judge: "Please repeat after me. I, Richard Gilmore..."

Richard begins his vow: "I, Richard Gilmore..."

Stage Direction: Fade Out.

Editor Note: The scene closing Stage Direction is blacked out.

End of the Side for the Judge

End of Act Two.

Assumed Interior Location Unknown - Day (Day Unknown) - Scene 18 -

Editor Note: Scene 18 is picked up in progress. A lot is blacked out.

Stage Direction: Angle on Rory. Rory positions herself behind a rather portly gentleman who is engaged in a conversation.

The Portly Gentleman is expounding to a woman about facts of genealogy.

Scene Direction: Cut to Luke and Lorelai

Luke is finishing up a conversation with a couple named Susan and Bill. Lorelai is there also.

Stage Direction: Lorelai swallows.

Lorelai greets Bill: "Hi, Bill, you remember me? Lorelai?

Bill remarks that he does and it is nice to see you again.

Susan jumps in to say that they should go find their table and that they would see them again later.

Luke tells Bill bye and Lorelai says goodbye to Susan.

Stage Direction: Bill and Susan exit off. Lorelai pats Luke on the back.

There is further dialog on the balance of the page between Lorelai and Luke about Bill and Susan. It is all blacked out.

Scene Direction: Cut back to the Portly Gentleman.

The Portly Gentleman is rambling on about how you start with at the siblings and then count down even generations, the children of siblings are first cousins, the grandchildren of siblings are second cousins, and so on. He continues on at great length describing second and third cousins twice removed.

Stage Direction: Rory peeks out from behind and looks at Logan...the balance of the blacked out Stage Direction cannot be made out.

End of Sides for Bill, Susan, and The Portly Gentleman.

Editor Note: Scene 18 Continues and is picked up a bit later.

Lorelai: "Oh, uh..."

The Band Leader booms out: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to present to you for the second time, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gilmore!"

Stage Direction: The room breaks into applause.

Editor Note: There is about a half-page of blacked out dialog and Stage Direction next.

Stage Direction: Angle on the dance floor. Richard is leading Emily around the dance floor. The guests are applauding. He walks her over to their special table for two and sits her down. The bandleader comes up and hands him a microphone. The guests quiet down. Lorelai and Luke take their seats at their table. Rory is already there, holding a cup of coffee, glaring off in the direction of Logan's table.

Editor Note: There is some blacked out dialog between the three of them.

Stage Direction: Angle on Richard.

Richard begins with: "On behalf of myself and my second wife Emily, I would like to thank you all for coming here to help us celebrate." He says that they are all good friends and that he and Emily are very, very lucky.

Editor Note: There is some blacked out Stage Direction concerning Lorelai.

Richard continues with how he gave the planning for their traditional first dance a lot of thought. That the song would represent the next phase in our marriage. The best phase of their marriage. He went over all the greats: Bennett, Sinatra, Chuck Berry and a story popped into his head. Then he says: "Now, most of you know my daughter, Lorelai."

Stage Direction: A couple at the table next to Lorelai lean in to each other.

The woman says: "The pregnant one."

Stage Direction: Lorelai sighs.

Editor Note: I know this little chunk of the scene is going to have people running off that Lorelai is now pregnant with Luke's child. However, what is shown in the Sides and such does not confirm that one way or another. IMO, however, in reading things and analyzing the context, it is my take that this is an older woman who knows of Lorelai's pregnancy with Rory and Lorelai's entire back story. It is in this context that when Richard makes reference to everyone knowing his daughter Lorelai - that this is how Richard's friends know of her - Pregnant Lorelai at age 16. Hence, the woman's descriptor - 'The pregnant one." Of course, it is possible that Lorelai really is pregnant again. But, as I wrote, this context refers to Lorelai in her younger years. YMMV

Editor Note: The balance of the page is blacked out. So, we do not know the name of the song

We pick up with Emily saying to Richard; "I cannot believe you remembered this song."

Richard asks for her hand.

Stage Direction: Emily takes his hand. She gets up and they start to dance. The balance of the direction is blacked out.

Stage Direction: Angle on Richard and Emily. They dance.

There is some blacked out dialog between Richard and Emily.

Stage Direction: Angle on the Band leader. he gets up and steps up to the microphone.

The Band Leader says: "At this time, if you're in love, we'd like to invite you to join Emily and Richard on the dance floor."

Stage Direction: Angle on Lorelai and Luke.

Most the next part of the dialog is blacked out, but from what I can just make out - Lorelai is asking (telling?) Luke to dance.

End of Side for The Band Leader.

Editor Note: Scene 18 continues on.

Assummed Interior Location Unknown - Time Unknown - (Day/Night Unknown - Scene 28 -

Editor Note: This scene - you've all been there - the group Wedding Picture - Chaos reigns. The scene is picked up in progress. There is a lot of blacked out Stage Direction and Dialog.

Stage Direction: The photographer take's Lorelai's arm and brings her over to the outside of Emily.

The photographer does his thing telling everyone that that is wonderful. Hold that...Everyone a little closer... perfect hold that.

Stage Direction: The photographer aims his camera. Lorelai leans in close to Emily's ear.

Lorelai's one dialog line is blacked out.

Stage Direction: Lorelai stands back up.

The photographer counts: "one, two, three..."

Stage Direction: He snaps the picture as Emily realizes what Lorelai just said to her, as we: FADE OUT.

End of Side for the Photographer

End of Scene 28 and

End of The Show

End of Casting Sides for 5.13 - "Wedding Bell Blues"

I was thinking about how 5.14 is going to be on February the 15th...one day after Valentine's Day. Do you think ASP will do anything on this day in terms of the couples (L/L and maybe R/L...depending on what happens with them in the 100th ep). From what I know episodes 5.12/13 seem to be filled with a lot of JJ goodness, but maybe they'll use this episode to calm down on it a bit...or focus on something else. Does anyone understand what I'm saying?

I get what you're saying germ . Hmm. Since we're going to be shocked at the end of ep. 13, something in ep 14 should be dealing with whatver it was that Lorelai said. And probably some other stuff that happened at the wedding. I hope we get some good sides next month. Maybe they'll help us figure out what Lorelai says.

lol no prob - Great thread title JoJo (or in case someone else thought of it to them as well!).

Now the whole Christopher and not shaving thing - if they wanted to give DS a great beard they should have watched Under the Tuscan Sun - when he comes at the end of the movie, he's got the stubble going big time.

My guess is they didn't want that because then he would be a major thread to Luke in the stubble department

Thanks guys

About the shaving thing...which girls here would think to shave their legs in a crisis?

Maybe when Luke is upset he'll grow a santa beard.

Hey I probably wouldn't shave my legs but I'm lazy with that anyways. I just think it's funny that that's like the standard exterior sign of a man's grief, not shaving. Oh, and not tucking his shirt in his pants, that's the other one. And I have seen men grieving without a stubble, I know, hard to believe, but I have

I hope people didn't really take my pity sex comment seriously. They should have a joke font. Or maybe I'll start using [joke] and [/joke]. It'd kinda kill the humour though.

oh and new thread.

Not to worry....no one takes 'pity sex' with two-minute Chris seriously!!

Once you've 'had' Luke....well, there is no going back!!

I would do anything to keep busy in a time of crisis. But I'm wacky that way.

LOL. I tend to think that is true, though. Something had to keep drawing Rachel back to Stars Hollow.

I got it Mari (and was therefore finding the serious speccing about it funny)! But that's probably because I know you too well... like last night I had a dream about you *shudders* and - I woke up screaming and my Freudian analyst is having a fieldday with it...

Anywho... back to speccing:
I have a crazy feeling that Chris is going to be a... hmm... can't think of an appropriate word... (loser? asshat?... not quite that bad) and let it slip/insinuate that Emily put him up to the evil task of 'breaking Lor/Luke up' like he did when Rory asked him not to talk to her and then he made it pretty clear to Lorelai that something was up. Possibly along the lines of 'Well, your parents don't even like Luke... you mom asked me...' So... if Lorelai finds out in 5.13 that Emily is and Chris is her little minion I have a feeling that the last comment at the end is going to be Emily is an / Chris is a minion related. Which sucks because its supposed to be a happy day... but hey, Em brought it on herself!

If it is related to this it can either be along the lines of "You're evil and I'm not talking to you" OR (and I think all JJ's would like this) it might be more along the lines of "You huffed and you puffed but girl, you didn't blow Luke and I down..." (ok... that sounded sort of dirty... but you know what I was getting at...). Anyways, what if Luke and Lorelai decide to elope or marry just to shut Emily up and stop her evil plans... unlikely... and yet still possible.... Of course, after they elope the episode would end with Rory and Logan in the coat room.... naked... at which point the show develops an NC-17 rating and moves to cable and we all see what really goes on in Luke's apartment with the mountie hat...

No, but seriously... what I'm really hoping for is newly remarried Em and Richard being caught... um.... in the 'act' per se. Well, not explicitly but I would find it laugh out loud funny if Rory and Lorelai showed up for dinner and Em and Richard were running downstairs with their clothes ruffled and explaining that Em lost her 'earring' and Richard was 'helping her find it'! hehe... now that would be funny!
