I really don't want major pining, if we get it at all, to start until ep. 13 when CL are done. But I wouldn't mind some momentary pining, like in the hospital, seeing how he is with April, or in ep. 10, seeing how he is with a baby... that could really cause her to still wish she had somehow had that family thing with Luke.

As for the question, why should she feel guilty? Because Luke's going to be heartbroken about that no matter how "over it" he is, and because she's been helping him this whole time without him knowing.

I just hope they can have some words about it, and not just him seeing it and then going to talk to the doctor, never to be spoken of again.

On Lorelai pining, I'm with Katie. Not all-the-time pining, but short moments where she sees what she could have had with Luke.

Thanks for the Global promo info, damselfly and sarahloveslogan.

So, it's not just a phone call between LL about April, they're actually at the hospital with her.

Maybe coach Bennett drowned April because she's mad the date with April's father did not go well.

Kidding aside, poor Luke. April has a health crisis and a couple of episodes later he learns that she might move away to NM. Give the new father a break already.

Well, she will be pining because she is not happy right now. She plays all "happy-face", but deep down inside, she knows she's not with the man she really loves and being around Luke again will bring that feeling to the surface. IMO

Well, I do want her to be unhappy!

I don't care about the pining for Luke but I want her to be as unhappy as possible because marrying Christopher is one of the most dishonest, amoral, lying and self-deluding things she could ever do.

She married a reprehensible selfish man who is more than flawed, he has yet to be redeemed, he has always put his own interests in front of his daughter's. He did that for 22 years and he's never made up for it, he's never even really acknowledged or dealt with it. That should come first.

She married him while she was still in love with another man, mere months after breaking up with him. Two weeks earlier, she preferred to live with the stink for the rest of her life rather than just be in the same town meeting room as Luke.

Christopher's self-centeredness extends to his relationship with Lorelai. Does he notice how she still feels about Luke? Does he care what she thinks, what she feels? Has he bothered to look, to ask? THESE are some of the reasons why I dislike his character so strongly.

Sorry I only took that tiny quote out of your whole post, Caf, and I'm not even commenting really about Chris, but that just stirred something in me, that it's exactly how they wrote Luke last season.

At least with Chris, I don't really expect that much insight and sensitivity from him, but Luke had always been so well attuned to Lorelai, I expected him to notice and ask and inquire and not only wait for her to open her mouth.

Well, this is over the top. Two people got married. They didn't commit the crime of the century, nor are they amoral and reprehensible. If that's the case, then maybe they should be imprisoned before they go on a killing spree or something.

ITA. I couldn't have put it any better!

Chris doesn't see - at least not yet - that his "Lor" still has feelings for Luke. He just sees that he has "won" - in his little world it's all about him. And he's happy right now, so nothing to worry about...
