I haven't seen the DC because I have dial up and it would take literally forever to watch. But it looked like Lorelai was wearing an apron, if that helps.

Also an apron in the DC, so I am guessing it is the same day. (And I never watched anything on my dial-up. Heck, I hardly download anything on my aircard, which is still faster.) Thanks for the info.

I would expect any "guilt" to be of the awkward, "I guess I should have mentioned this," variety. Not guilt that she married her babydaddy.

(Kind of like her reaction to both Chris and Emily calling her on seeing her engagement ring to Luke, when she hadn't bothered to mention it to them either.)

It doesn't have to have anything to do with being married at all. But it would be a little odd if she didn't feel at least a little guilty about Luke finding out this way. She was going to marry Luke six months ago. Now she's married to someone else and he finds out by seeing a ring on her finger while his daughter is lying ill in the hospital. She'd be feeling a little guilty at inflicting more distress on the guy at that stage.

Because she slowly starts to realize that she married the wrong man and that this "marriage" was just a solution to a problem, not anything romantic or because she is in love.....

Besides the fact that she just broke up with the guy six months ago and marrying someone else so quickly comes across as being flighty and desperate?

Probably for the same reason she looks embarrassed and ashamed when she is telling Rory about the marriage. She regrets it and realizes she screwed up.

She can pretend all she wants, and is pretty good at it, when she's with Chris. The guy is so delusional he'll buy anything as long as he has Lorelai. But now that she's back home with her family and her friends, it's going to be harder to keep that charade alive.

who she married, how it happened, the lack of talking between them, overall her concious decsions she made since leaving him at the diner, again all that and so much more = maybe her thoughts and her words she has said about him negatively to others = maybe hopefully it all comes crashing down and she just turns into mush in the ground

So maybe it the hug is when Rory first turns up for the dinner?

IMO both C&L will cook it, well Lorelai will try and help, I'm think of the Max time or even with Luke when they cooked for her. Even Jason cooked for her, she has a way of finding guy who will cook her dinner. But only one does it for a living.

I forgot to mention the most important reason why she looks guilty....she's still in love with the guy.
