He has temper issues, I agree, He is like a spoiled boy, if the things are not tha the wants he turns to be a storm hitting people or things in his pathway.

He hurts big? with his punch you mean?? Don't you remember the David vs Goliath story? I don't bet by Luke in a fight against Chris, the last time he had the "surprise" to his favor, but that is not the same this time judging by the promo... Actually, I would like him to win, if it is possible that he will send Chris to the hospital, and in that way he could go to the jail or a least pay in some way his agressivity out of control, but I am sure that he is going to lose, he is going to be the "poor" Luke the next episode, it's time to change the flow inthe Luke SL.

Yes, Luke, was assified (which is oddly similar to asshatification...CONSPIRACY!) last year. This **** does not make any more sense now then it did last year. Who knew that Luke had a shield, a horse, and a suit of armour that needed to be SHINED properly. If not, he becomes, asshatified! ETA: One, again, I do not joke with you people, but I hope you get that there is IMPLIED silliness in the beginning of this post. That aside, Carol, very nice use of that alley-oop. Good job!

Chris may be taller, but Luke is definitely more built. Check the avi! Besides for the fact that in real life SP is a kick boxer. Yeah, my money is on Luke.

I'm all for Chris "winning" and starting the fight, showing Luke was defending himself.

That's not what it's like... it's not every time he gets upset that he uses violence. let's see... he was cheated on by his wife... another time RORY'S heart was broken and Luke got defensive. And in 7.02 the woman he loves, the one who is life isn't complete without ran straight from him into Chris.

The two things with Lorelai and Nicole. Those were huge things that went straight through his heart and really broke luke up inside.

It's not like everytime something doens't go his way he gets violent. Things didn't go his way with Lorelai for 8 years. he NEVER turned into a big storm hitting people.

I don't know if i'm defending this well at all... but I just hate when anyone makes a big generalization about Luke being some big violent guy when that's not how he is. He's had his moments... but those were huge, awful moments in his life and he just doesn't run around hitting people when things aren't how he wants them to be.

He was pretty violent with the people he didn't want in his diner in So...Good Talk. Literally throwing some out of the door. And shoving Jess off the bridge.

He has been there.. a short time but he has been there. the violence hasn't been just when he "hits" someone.. I call violence when he has been rude with the dinner customers, when he broke the bike road, sometimes when he talks with Taylor, etc.. the way how he took the boat from Lorelai's garage was rude too, the way how he talked to Lorelai in front of Jackson and Sookie when Chris called, etc. He is a good guy, I know that he is, but he has temper issues. It is my opinion of course. Richard and Logan have showed their temper too, Richard when he hit Emily's car, and Logan with Rory in 6.08, but that is not often the way how they are... instead that Luke who is naturally agressive.

Exactly. He's grumpy, not violent. There is a difference. Besides, I see most of his grumpiness as a front because he's insecure and doesn't want people to see that. The Gilmore Girls and Liz used to be the only people to penetrate that, but now April has and soon Liz' baby will too. I love the grumpy part of him and the sweet caring part of him.

ETA: Carolav, I think that there is a difference between having a temper and being violent. I know lots of people who have tempers but who aren't violent. Violent is actually physically hurting someone. A temper to me is someone yelling a lot. I'm not saying that having a bad temper is good, it's just a big difference than actually physically hurting someone. YMMV.

Katie- I wasn't trying to villify Luke by mentioning those. Just saying other times when he was violent. I like Luke.
