OT - how many changes did ep 7 go through before they settled on what they aired?

I mean they had sides for scene they did not use, the C&L Paris pic's where another scene that was cut. The washer ladies, where were they? and the looking for food in the kitchen scene which was a late casting call and scene, it was not used either.

Did they have so many problems with this ep why did they bother to air or use it at all.

I'm choosing to take Chris' comment in the director's cut about how the marriage may/may not be legal because it was in french as an anvil (and I'm not much into the anvil stuff) the same as I took Luke's roof rant last year about how the couples in those engagement announcements believe their lives are going to turn out as they dreamed - suckers. I knew the second I heard that bit that L/L were doomed - at least for awhile.

I do hope that if the marriage turns out not to be legal, it is not the reason they separate. Rather, I hope they decide to end it and when they go to file the papers, they learn it is not legal and that way we won't be subjected to the usual waiting period for a divorce to become final, etc.

A girl can dream.

Don't be that jadded to believe way back in 6.02 that L&L were doomed, I didn't feel that until DMG or even Partings (putting aside the spoilers).

What if Chris finds out the wedding was not legal in France, keeps it from Lorelai so plans the "vows" with Emily's help as a way to make it legal, at some point Lorelai finds out. Also Emily might see Lorelai is not "in love" with Chris so what if the talk is Emily telling Lorelai her wedding is not legal?

So ep 11 then go on and try to live together before doing the wedding for real but it falls apart and by ep 13 it ends?

6.02? I could tell in 6.01. I mean the lights went out on them as they were toasting to their engagement. Talk about a bad Anvil for the engagement...

And we can dream. I for sure don't want the legal aspects to be way CL end. I don't know though whether or not I want them to find out before or after they end. I could see it going two ways. Either them finding out somehow and Chris wanting to make it legal right away and Lorelai wanting to just wait it out a bit, but then 7.13 happens and she dumps him. OR she could end it with him and once he finally agrees to a divorce, they find out their not married, saving us lots of weeks as far as having to watch them go through a divorce.

No news?
Luke and coach Bennett are sitting on the same side of the table.... They have no future!
Dates are horror!

While we're at it My gut told me something is going to happen between Chris and Lorelai in ep10 when he said: I want to take care of you. You and Rory. My first thought was she's jumping into his bed again. Well, sh$t happens.

Something bigger than that has to happen. That's way to easy and we don't go for easy

Because it was produced in California. Connecticut is not known for its wines, but California is on par with some of the best in the world. I have California wine. Many people all over the States do. It's very common.

Logan never purposely flaunted a girl in front of Rory; Jess did.
Logan didn't live in the same town as Rory did either. Jess didn't flaunt Shane.

Quote:
Furthermore, Jess seemed to be using Shane to punish Rory. He knew Rory was bothered by it, but kept tossing it in her face as a payback for Dean. Logan wasn't punishing Rory with the bridesmaids; he was punishing himself, trying to deaden his feelings with "wine, women, and song." He wasn't out to hurt her and, in fact, did not tell her about it so as not to hurt her.
I disagree that Jess used Shane to punish Rory. Jess was with Shane because he couldn't be with passive/agressive weak Rory. Just like Logan went to the bridesmaids because he didn't think he was with Rory anymore. I don't think Logan thought of it as punishing himself, but as a salve to cover up his hurt. As for Logan, I believe he did refrain from telling Rory so as not to hurt her and also to spare himself some grief too.

Quote:
Are you kidding. I would've come home and broken up with Dean, alright. But *not* to see what Jess would do and to start something with him. Instead, I would've dated around and not become steady with anyone.
No offense, but you're not Rory. I would have broken up with Dean too, but right after Sookie's wedding. As Lorelai said, it was time for a Jess. She learned much from her experiences with him as she did with all of her boyfriends, Logan included.

Right now I like Logan. He seems to have matured.
