For me, the second Logan called the girls he slept with "vipers" anything he had to say about the whole mess was sullied.

I was really surprised ASP had him say something as crude and insulting. But, given a lot of what ASP did last season, nothing should have surprised me.

im gonna get dominated because this board is mostly all RL fans.. but i liked jess more than logan just because he grew up and i thought he was an interesting character who later helped rory find her way ..i just enjoyed watch jess and rory.. and although i like logan as a character..and RL is starting to grow on me.. i think he ruined rory and lorelais relationship forever and i completely lost interest in rory after she met logan (until the last few episodes) but i fast forward all their scenes since season 5 because rory just acts like a different person around him, like she feels she has to act bubbly and it shows in her voice (not in a good way) .. JMO =]

No, he walked out and left her without a word and has never really apologized for it.

And this wasn't really about Jess v Logan. It was about honesty and straight forwardness and game playing. You have to use someone as an object of contrast. Dean's main drawback wasn't game playing it was his stalkerish tendencies.

Jess came into SH a really messed up kid and he left a really messed up kid. To me, the operative word is "kid." I think that for him the only thing in his life that really gave him pleasure and a sense of happiness was being with Rory. When he again screwed up by lying to Luke and not going to school and wound up with Luke telling him he had to leave, I just don't think he could face Rory and tell her.

If he had been a real together kid who was well-adjusted and had a decent upbringing rather than a mom like Liz, I would have been a lot more disappointed in the character.

Besides, it does seem that Rory chose to forgive him in the long run.

How did Logan ruin Rory and Lorelai's relationship? For,she now found a guy that she loves she has to spend time with Lorelai at every second. The rift was not Logan's fault it was Lorelai not understanding her daughter and Rory's insecurities.

Actions speak louder than words and he has shown he is sorry through his actions. The book was for himself but it was also to prove to Rory that all the pain they went through motivated him to do something with his life.

Why does it always have to come back to the Logan vs Jess debate here? Both Logan and Jess have made mistakes when it comes to Rory, she has forgiven them both why can't the fans?

Well, considering that it was his belief that they purposely said those things in front of her, knowing who she was, vipers may be appropriate.

How did Logan ruin Rory and Lorelai's relationship? The rift had nothing to do with Logan, but about her own inability to deal with the criticism that was meted out very coldly by Mitchum. Logan tried to warn her, but Rory wouldn't listen.

You're right about one thing, though, Logan changed the dynamic of Rory and Lorelai's relationship, but that's because Rory grew up, moved out, became a woman, and fell in love. There was going to come a point when that was going to happen. With Lorelai too! Was Rory going to be the person Lorelai was closest to and shared the most with once Lorelai married Luke? I don't think so. Unless the writers want the characters to regress -- and I'm not sure they don't and will end up having both women alone and living together -- than their relationship was always going to evolve, just as it does in real life between most parents and children, when the child grows up and finds a person to share his or her life with.

Why do people defend the bridesmaid these were horrible girls who talked about their conquests in fornt of a stranger and then continued to talk like it was no big deal when the stranger was the girlfriend of one of them

Plus, we're not sure how many of them hadn't met Rory and knew who they were talking to since Honor introduced Rory by saying that some of them might have met at her shower.

I think that regardeless of Logan/Luke/Chris being the ones,GG used to be more than relationship dramas.

IMO the show has been going downhill since season 5,and now we're to the point where Rory wasn't even invited to or told of her mother's marriage.And I think it's a shame.

im not saying it was only logan who ruined rory and lorelais relationship, im saying its mostly because of logan .. it has nothing to do with rory growing up, moving out, and falling in love... its that IMO rory changed as a person when she met logan..and im not talking about growing up, she just got messed up in logans life and she wasnt the character i loved anymore. trust me i know lorelai made really really bad decisions too, its not about that.. i just think rory became someone who is annoying. its like lorelai has to impress her for rory to hang out with her when logan is around .. theres just such a change in rory when logan isnt around her.. she is more herself, and not just logans girlfriend

as i said, i am starting to like logan more because rory is acting more like herself this season.. and for me, its because she is having her own life. she made her own friends..while still being with logan. before i felt like rory was living in logans shadow..

BTW - anyone know the song playing when Rory is on the phone to Lucy and Olivia? or the French song? I think that was all the music in ep 7.
