Obviously the specifics of Rory/Jess and Rory/Logan were different, but I do see a similarity in that both guys used girls in a rather crude and unfeeling way.

I think Emily's always known Luke was a pretty good guy, she just never thought he was good enough for Lorelai. I mean, even back in TDDR or F&S, she knew how much he was always there for Lorelai and everything, and by S,GT she totally knew how important to Lorelai he is. BUT she just still has her visions of CL and Luke just being a filthy diner owner. Yet, she accepted LL because he made Lorelai happy and it was what lorelai wanted. am I making any sense? my ice capp has yet to set in and i'm still way tired...

So it'll be interesting to see if this causes Emily to take a step back and look at Luke/Chris and really see who is the better guy in this whole situation. Or Emily might just be too concerned with Richard and just take what Luke's doing for granted. Who knows... I really just think that this will be more of a wake up call for Lorelai than Emily...

Slightly OT but does anyone know the song of the new promo?

I cannot stop watching the end of the promo with Luke on his mission. And I cannot get the song out of my head.

If they ever show it, they'll probably just redress the "London" sets. They might even get away with redressing the New Haven apartment as a NYC apartment, if they ever happen to need a prolonged scene there.

Does it not matter that Logan was used just as much as he used them? Can only a male use a female?

Sandy, exactly. Jess played games and punished Rory for not breaking up with Dean. That's the subtext of what he says to her in Haunted Leg, just like Logan's bridesmaids for Thanksgiving is the subtext of what he says in TPD.

It's open to interpretatiion I guess.You think that she chose to ignore the subtext of Logan's words purposely;I think that she's not a mind-reader,and didn't catch the real the meaning of "I tried to move on,but I couldn't". (I wouldn't catch it neither,but I never dated a playboy)

Well I never dated a playboy either but I also understod what Logan meant when he said he tried to move on.
Also Logan thought that they were broken up and he realized that he made a mistake unlike Jess who never realized any of his mistakes.

Somehow associating the word "dignity" with Jess and Shane makes me laugh.

Yes, Jess was done using Shane to get Rory to break up with Dean, so he dumped her.

But she had. In his full playboy, dating and sleeping with other girls & her as well, phase. She knew exactly who and what he was or had been. She liked him enough that she chose to take what she could get. But Logan was always upfront and honest about who he was, how he lived his life, and what she was getting herself into. He didn't think she could handle it. He was right.

It doesn't take very much thought to think that he's not going to go off looking for another Rory to get involved with when they fought and broke up. He's going to go back to what's familiar, just like she did. In her case it was Stars Hollow. In his case it was a bottle of scotch and easy female.

He says he thought being a boyfriend, being in a relationship was a crazy experiment, that it wasn't him. Which means that PlayboyLogan was who he thought he was. That's who he'd been when she met him and for years prior. She knew that.

But it's not pretty to think that the guy you're in love with got his epiphany that he's also in love with you while he's in the middle of ****ing someone else. Because that's not all he wants anymore. She ignored her own history with him so she could just hear the part about him realizing he loves her. That was the pretty part. The other was a bit sordid and ugly and she didn't want to deal with it till it got smacked in her face.
