I’d like to remind you all that this is the main Gilmore Girls spoiler thread, and as such, posters from various shipper groups are free to post here, so if you see someone saying something that you don’t like about “your” favorite character or couple, don’t start fighting with them on this thread, and don’t go into a Gilmore Girls shipper thread if you don’t like the couple that the shipper thread is for. People are free to criticize upcoming events on Gilmore Girls as they read the upcoming spoilers, but don’t use this thread as a free-for-all to bash any characters or couples that you don’t like, or their fans, or you’ll find that you’ll be deprived of the privilege of reading and speculating about Gilmore Girls spoilers again here. Episode 7.08 - Introducing Lorelai Planetarium

The CW: LORELAI TELLS RORY THE NEWS - Lorelai (Lauren Graham) invites Rory (Alexis Bledel) over to dinner to tell her that she and Christopher (David Sutcliffe) got married in Paris. Rory pretends to be thrilled while Christopher is in the room, but later tells Lorelai how hurt and angry she really is. Back in town for the start-up of his new internet company, Logan (Matt Czuchry) invites Rory to the launch party, where she meets a magazine editor who suggests she write an article on the event. Rory writes a judgmental article, describing the guests as spoiled elitists. Logan is hurt and angry, accusing Rory of hypocrisy since she is living rent-free in his apartment. Defensive at first, Rory realizes she is living a double standard and decides to find her own apartment. Meanwhile, when April (Vanessa Marano) faces a medical emergency, a frantic Luke (Scott Patterson) turns to Lorelai for help. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder.

TV Guide: Lorelai and Chris arrange a dinner so they can tell their big news to Rory, who puts on a happy face for her dad but tells her mom she's angry. Elsewhere, Logan surprises Rory with a visit and an announcement that he's relocating to New York to start an Internet company; and Luke calls Lorelai when April becomes sick. Bobby: Vanessa Branch.

TheCW: STARS HOLLOW THROWS A "KNIT-A-THON" — When Christopher (David Sutcliffe) questions Lorelai (Lauren Graham) about why she has avoided involving him in the daily life of Stars Hollow, she admits her concern that her old friends may not accept him. Christopher makes an effort to bond with the townspeople, and Lorelai brings him to the town knit-a-thon, where his well-intentioned gesture brings the event to an early end. When Olivia (Michelle Ongkingo) throws a 2002-themed birthday party for Lucy (Krysten Ritter), Rory (Alexis Bledel) gets her chance to confront Marty about his coldness toward her. Finally, Luke (Scott Patterson) is touched by the birth of Liz (Kathleen Wilhoite) and T.J.’s (Michael DeLuise) baby, and when he learns that Anna (Sherilyn Fenn) is planning to move to New Mexico with April (Vanessa Marano), he demands equal rights as a parent. Liza Weil also stars. Kenny Ortega directed the episode written by David Grae.

TVGuide:Stars Hollow prepares for a knitathon and Lorelai, who's participating, worries that the townsfolk aren't ready to accept her and Christopher as a couple; Anna stuns Luke when she tells him that she and April are moving to New Mexico; Rory and her friends throw Lucy a 2002-themed birthday party, where Rory finally confronts Marty about his indifference toward her; and T.J. tells Luke that Liz, who's ready to give birth at any moment, wants to have the baby at home.

He disappeared behind the camera set up, but whatever goes down involves Lorelai and Chris because after a few minutes they walked off in the direction Luke had come from and Lorelai had her arm around Chris. Luke was wearing his green coat and the black hat.

I do agree. I'm already anticipating a breakup next week and have dealt with it, though I'm sure it will make me sad. But I also think there will be parallels to last season and s1 for Rory. They broke up in 6.08 last season, pretty mutually, IMO. From the time he showed back up Logan has been nothing but madly in love with Rory and fully committed to their relationship. I've decided Rory's going to have her version of many blondes for Thanksgiving/Christmas with the fam & Gigi, and realize that's not where she belongs, she belongs with Logan.

It's not about money, it's about the fact that she loves him just as much as he loves her, she has to believe it though. And I think in some ways she's been coasting relying on how much he loves her to be the thing that keeps them strong.

All of which is why I firmly believe that Rory will be the one to reach out. By 12-13 which will complete the symmetry to S1 & S6, but Logan, being Logan, will close the deal. But I'm looking forward to Rory's epiphany, since I think she's going to think Logan was the college boyfriend and realize he really is *the one*. Going off what The DSR said.

1) Um, guys??? Kirk still lives with his mother and has night terrors. Kinda pathetic. I think I found a mature character...How bout Morey? WITHOUT BABETTE. He has about 3 lines in the entire show's running, but he's a Stars Hollow resident so I think he qualifies.

Yes, Rory IS the one who WAS DISADVANTAGED for 22 years.

Judging by her reactions in the beginning of this season and 7.08, EVERY TIME Christopher gets involved with Lorelai romantically, Rory is left out, or not respected. Rory said to Lorelai in 7.02 that apparently, Lorelai could screw things up with Rory and Christopher by sleeping with him. It also seems like they don't seek her opinion on getting married. As noticed in 7.03, the SECOND Lorelai walked through the door at the end, when Chris was there, ALL attention was between him and her and Rory became the third wheel. Rory SHOULD BE a focal point in Lorelai and Christopher's decisions to be romantically involved. They SHOULD be paying attention to how she feels, since she is THEIR CHILD and she is a member of the family. It's a warped arrangement here because it seems that only once she's got both feet out the door and practically lives her own life, that her parents decide to hook up and her father decides to be the family man.

As for Christopher feeling bad about missing out on being a parent to Rory, he still is in the "MeMeMe" mentality. He forgets that Rory was on the recieving side of this behaviour, and that she deserves to hear all his self-realizations from him.

Soo right Capp. Why is it all the Chris dialogue is so...what's the word, saccharine? It's incredibly cheesy and it hurts to hear. Likewise, Chris didn't want to "jump into" a relationship...if I remember correctly, he acknowledged Lorelai's feelings and regrets about what happened between them, said his piece and told her how he felt, then left her to make her move. Lorelai called him! That was all her. Stop blaming him already (though I know, as you said, I can't change your mind).

What does "he doesn't have to work for anything but still gets all the benefits" mean? Do people have to suffer and atone for past mistakes in order to "earn" the chance to be happy? He's trying his best NOW to make his relationship with Lorelai AND Rory better. Bringing up his past shortcomings is useless and moot.

LOL, somehow I'm not surprised, Sarah. I do think last season it was up to Logan to put things back together, and for Rory to take the last step. Though the breakup was, IMO, mutual, since they both walked away and she even thought they were on some sort fo break, he was the one that really didn't know if a relationship was for him. He was the one that had to realize Rory meant more to him than just someone he tried something with because he didn't want her to walk away in that moment. He had to realize what love was, and put some effort into it. Not the coffee cart, or candles, candy, fruit or flowers, but showing Rory that he loves her.

Likewise, I think a breakup this time means it's up to Rory to reach out to him. I don't expect the same sort of gestures. She's not Logan. But I do think she'll be, and rightly, the one that bridges the gap between them, does something that lets him know she needs him and loves him.
