I know all my specs are out the window now too. This show has that effect on people. I have a feeling its going to be something that's built up over the next few eps. In otherwords, it will be a hell of a lot more complicated than we specced.

How did Rory string the guy along? She was up-front and honest-IMMEDIATELY. The critic wants to find a reason to hate Rory so he invents history. Which makes it pretty clear he reviews what he wants and changes what he doesn't agree with. Nice to be able to redefine reality.

In episode 7.09, Miss Patty gives Chris a 'welcome wagon' full of stuff from local businesses. She and Babette are polite, but they are not exactly warm and friendly. Chris thinks it went well, but Lorelai senses the tension and isn't happy. Luke sees them from the diner, and it hurts to see them together.

Earlier on the thread there was spec on why no snow in SH at Christmas. I would agree that it is foreshadowing since snow does play such a huge part in Lorelia's life. (when she was "real" and not the pod people we have now.) The other thing I was remembering is back in the eighties there was a show called Remington Steele that also had specific undermusic throughout the episodes. They also had a relationship that went off course and the music stopped. The second that the couple reunited the music started up again. Maybe the la-la-la-la-las will begin again when the "real" characters return from this long and oh so painful "journey."

Rory needs to get over it.Lorelai is an adult, she will have to deal with the mistakes she made without Rory. Rory is so self absorbed she can't see that her mother is confused, she never mourned Luke being gone. Everything with Rory has been me me me, it got old 3 eppys ago. Lorelai shouldnt have to explain everything to Rory, so she got married in Paris, instead of being mad, she should be understanding. I think if my mother got married, I could care less, I dont live with her, now if my daughter did it, I would be upset. Rory is getting to blubber baby for me. Emily being happy about the marriage, well thats Emily, she is the only one excited about it.

Yes, it sounds like it was written by the person on TWOP who was going on about how Rory destroyed their friendship.

Rory was Oblivious to Marty's feelings for her until he told her. She then told him that she wasn't interested and that she really does want to remain friends. Rory then goes 2 years without seeing him.

Thanks for that, interesting. IMO some of the "not turning out how people wanted" comes from the towns reaction to the news and their love of Luke.

Charmed, nice insight about Lorelai's ILY to Chris. That's pretty much it. She loves him. She just does not love him like she loves Luke.

Katie, Luke and Chris are men. We do not need a reason to fight. Nor to do we need any preamble to the fight. Sometimes, there's a look between dudes, and it's time to throw down.

ETA: Junkie, you love it? What do you love about it? Do you love the writer obviously knowing very little about Rory's storyline? Do you love his faulty logic, that makes very little sense? Too much has not happened since season 3. All that has happened is this...LUKE AND LORELAI WERE IN A ****TY RELATIONSHIP. Whoa. Stop the world. I want to get off. As if that relationship changed anything. All it changed, in the long run, was Luke into a guy that gets a clue quicker. While it has made Lorelai a bit overly JUMPY. Do you like the way that he prods along without really making a point? If you love that, then maybe you should find a place where that sort of love is worth reading about post after post afte post! If not, then, that love stinks. It's stinky love. It smells like my cat, Dean, ****.

One last point; Charmed, you make a great insight into Lorelai. Yet, because of who YOU ARE, that makes you think that you are Rory? Rory and Lorelai have a freakishly close bond no matter the distance. For Lorelai to not once, but twice, exclude Rory from her wedding plans. Well, that's, a total uterus move on Lorelai's part. Total uterus move. But you wouldnt get upset. So Rory should not get upset? That works again, how?
