You've forgotten: she has a dog!
The importance of having dog was mentioned here earlier! Dogs first!

When clearly, there's a new grown up Rory, that should be able to juggle school and Logan being abroad.
Is that what I said? I don't think so. Amy herself said the show would end with Rory's graduation, so it's a natural progression for the story to swing in that direction again. That's not regressing, it's completing the arc.

I am also continually perplexed at how anyone can imply that Rory GRADUATING AND GETTING A JOB, is a worthy ending for her.
See above - it was Amy's plan. Nobody is implying anything. Nor is anyone saying that's all she can have, but it's always been a big part of the overall storyline for Rory.

Rory is the "kid." Lorelai definitely got the kid ... when she was a kid. However, I do hope that Rory can manage to have a family (with a husband and kids) before she's 40. The only thing Lorelai has never had is the husband.

But she said she was ready to have the "Whole Package" with Luke, including a new baby, I think thats what they are saying.

This whole Rory-debate made me think about what Luke said ...

LUKE: [stubbornly] He's not good enough for her.
LORELAI: Well, who is? Jess?
LUKE: No, not Jess. A prince, maybe. One that's in line to be king. Not one of those waiting-for-a-brother-to-die ones, but a real one. If not a prince, someone who's gonna be good for her. You know, Rory is like Pippi.
LORELAI: Pippi?
LUKE: She can have adventures and be free, she's smart. The whole world's waiting for her.
LORELAI: [disbelief] You're comparing Rory to Pippi Longstocking?
LUKE: [counting attributes on his fingers] Pippi is strong and independent. She can lift a horse above her head. Uh-huh. And beat up bullies and build a hot-air balloon. She's unique, like Rory. But I guarantee you, if Pippi had met Dean, [Lorelai sighs] there would be no horse, no balloons. He'd drag her down to his level, spend all her gold coins, and poof, like that, all her dreams would be gone.

Logan is good for her, I feel wants her to follow her dreams, won't hold her back. Wants to share this journey with her, doesn't want her to be there to support him only in his journey, nope it will go both ways, he wouldn’t want her life to be in service of his like Emily’s and Shira’s life in some ways is (not that there is anything wrong with that and if they are not at the same time doing great things, it would drive me absolutely crazy though, but well that’s just me). And well Logan, he is a Prince, in line to be King of a media-empire ... he won’t spend her gold coins and poof, make her dreams dissapear ... nope he will make sure she will feel she is capable of going after them ...

I'm sort of loosing myself here, so if any want to comment negatively, here is my response: JEEZ, I am tired ... and I am allready in a sort of dreamy state ... gimme a break ...
Oh and this in no way is meant as a slam against Dean or Jess ... I happen to like them both because of very different reasons. But well, since Rory said Logan is the One for her, okee she said, could be, still I believe or want to believe she is right about that! And I still see no reason why she isn't right about it, so I choose to be swept away by all that and leave the thread tonight with a grin on my face ...

Need to lie down, get me some sleep and dream of Pippi or better even the Prince

LMAO! blaab that might be my favorite ever post about why Logan is good for Rory and why they deserve to be happy. Kudos to you!

As long as she gets married, she'll have the whole package. I'm not arguing that she shouldn't have another child, but she has been blessed with a child so it's not like she'd missed out on that experience if she didn't get pregnant again.

That exchange is a favorite of Sophies and a huge Logan anvil, especially since in the very next episode Rory learns that the Logan who rubbed her the wrong way is actually the son and heir of the media mogul. So yeah, Luke is like Cassandra in that scene, the woman in Greek mythology who could see the future ... but of course no one believes her.

It's funny that you guys think Lorelai is closer to the whole package than Rory. I would have said just the opposite. Heh. And when I said that about the pilot, I was trying to explaiin why people were focusing on what Amy and Dan said about following through on the "pilot promises". I was not saying that I wanted them to break up. Just that Amy tended, in my recollection, to talk more about Rory's career goals than her romantic life. Her romances were just a nice bonus in addition to her academic/career goals. However, I think the change that Jason is talking about still falls under the bonus catagory. When they saw the sparks, LH became a more integral part of Rory's story than they had planned to have for her boyfriend. Lagnaippe, if you will. A special extra, thrown in with your original purchase. Hee. And it is rude to return lagnaippe, so I think she'll get to keep him.

IMO what she missed was enjoying a lot of the early years and having a partner theri to enjoy it also, might also explain why she is so screwed up in love some of the time!

Thanks Gen for the LG-CW poster Pic

Anyone worked out what the pic is from?

Thanks for the CW ad pic...

I've never seen that pic before. Are there actually new LG shots for the CW?

Rory's romantic life has been used as an instrument of her growth and a way to separate her from her mother.
