Episode 7.10 - Merry Fisticuffs

TheCW: LUKE AND CHRISTOPHER COME TO BLOWS — Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) share a sweet moment when Luke introduces her to Liz’s new baby. Christopher (David Sutcliffe) witnesses the scene and it adds to his concern that Lorelai isn’t fully committed to their marriage. The next day, Lorelai and Christopher get into a fight over whether they should exchange vows at the elaborate wedding party Emily (Kelly Bishop) is throwing for them. Luke contacts a lawyer over his custody troubles with Anna, then runs into Christopher and the two have an ugly confrontation in the streets of Stars Hollow. Meanwhile, when Logan (Matt Czuchry) discovers that Rory and Marty (Wayne Wilcox) have been pretending that they just met, rather than admitting their previous friendship to Lucy (Krysten Ritter), he reveals the truth to Lucy. Finally, Emily gives Lorelai a warning about her marriage. Sean Gunn also stars. Jackson Douglas directed the episode written by David Rosenthal.

TV Guide: Lorelai dreads each day that she meets with her mom and a prominent party planner in anticipation of the upcoming wedding party. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Christopher can't seem to agree on plans for their future, and she usually gets her way; Logan is in town and Rory takes him to the Yale cafeteria, where they run into Marty, and Rory explains the whole awkward reunion she had with Marty and their subsequent deception with Lucy; and Luke decides to talk to a lawyer about April.

Thanks Gen. That's a title, that may confuse people. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Sandlynn, to reiterate a statement from the last post. The look Rory gave to Marty was dejection and disgust rolled up into one. There might have even been some DISDAIN in there as well. She could have kicked him in the balls then insulted his momma, and it would not have hurt as much as that look.

I also love how the women in here have no clue as to why a guy would be hung up on Rory. Besides her stunning physical appearance. Search your thoughts, and think back to seasons four and five. Rory to Marry was pretty much the girl every geek like him, would want to be with. Of course, being FRIENDS, led to him getting dropped quicker than Eric Stotlz on BTTF. This is why you pine. You pine for the one's that got away that could have been great more than you ever enjoy the one's you are with. Yes, being a man, is much like love...a battlefield.

What I especially like about the characterization of Christopher Re: "Diner Guy":

Deliberate wording. They're making Christopher use condescending labels for people of Stars Hollow who Lorelai cares about.

First, he has a man date with 'The farmer'
Now, he's dissing "The Diner guy".

Also, let me odd, that TV Squad and TV GUIDE are ****ing idiots. I have no idea how anyone can watch this show, skip by Rory, and miss the ONLY and TRULY romantic relationship on this show...ever.
